So you can put maps. watches, GPS etc into 2 sand bags and leave them on the ground w/out it dissapearing? But for weapons only a tent will do?

So far so good...well hid. I've read 7 days somewhere...perhaps Wiki Now, if I were just to stash the gear on the ground, say under a tree...will it be gone when the server resets?

RIGHT ON! I don't get the rapid heart beat I used to when I started six or seven weeks ago, but I still get a start when a zed appears where I didn't expect one!

Lately when using Comander on most but not all servers I get ArmA II loading as well as DayZ...slows things down a bit! This happen to anyone else?

Is there a setting on Steam I'm missing? Why does Fallujah or Czeck Rep want to load??? Driving me nuts, I can play, I ususally alt/tab and close the other aplication but it's a pita!

So I've got steam loading when I double click on a server from Commander and it tries to load either arma czeck Republic or Fallujh??? I can cancel the CZ load but Fallujah runs along side

Actually...NOT a dead chicken! I was hungry needing meat so I tried to kill a chicken with my axe and couldn't! It was in range, in fact I ran into it twice but couldn't kill it. Cows and pigs yes, not so much with the chicken. Can they be killed and eaten?

I thought it may be a bug. The chicken would run while I was "ranging" my axe, but when I got right up on it it sat still and wouldn't die. Zeds were closing in so I left. Can you kill anything with your hands?

I've done that route in reverse several times...had better luck starting in the NE -
Open Commander, select filters and it will launch DayZ for you.

I respawned after a few days off, plotted a way point on the map and took off running. When I removed the wine tool from the W key the only direction my avatar would travel was toward the way point. Hopefully when I respawn later he'll be able to change course. Ever happen to anyone else?

Fortunately I became aware of the problem while running through the trees...and yes logging back in cleared it up.
