  1. Not sure if it's the Arma 2 or DayZ but direct chat doesn't seem to be working. I've not had any luck with communications getting through, so it essentially devolves into combat or silent partnerships (which are futile). If the appropriate people could fix that then that would be awesome.
  2. A simple suggestion: have the player make an audible yawn when they log in, as though they have just woken up from slumber. Oh, this will also make it harder to use teleport tactics and make it much riskier to log out/in whilst in a high risk area.
  3. This may be a daft question but just making sure: You are connecting to servers which are running the same version of the beta patch as you've installed?
  4. I like the idea of a timer which would count down when you abort and stop if you perform an action. If that's not possible then I'd like the body to remain for say a minute afterwards. Cheating death is cheating the experience. If you can escape at the push of a button then you no longer need to fear what's around the corner or in the woods. Alerted some zombies? Quit. Cheating death undermines the experience and all effort by both rocket and the other players. Players need to accept that death is a real possibility in order to become immersed into the DayZ world. My .02
  5. I'll paste this from the other thread: I was having this problem until I figured out that I wasn't running the beta patch. If, when you're on the main screen, the beta patch number is not in the bottom right corner then you're still running the original executable. Instructions for how to run it properly are in the readme in the beta .rar file. It's not enough to just install it, you have to launch the proper executable too. I kicked myself when I realised what I had done :D It's worked fine for me since then.
  6. Do you have the latest Arma 2 beta patch and does it display the beta patch version number in the bottom right of the main screen?
