So I made this quickly. What do you think? (1920x1200)
-
Not if you do it properly. I won't share how unless I have permission but there are certain files that do and don't need to be copied to have a working copy.

Need help - I died at airport after shooting someone...
JSparks (DayZ) replied to Errand Boy's topic in General Discussion
There is a glitch with the death system if you log out while in shock or unconscious. The player will stand there with nothing in their hands, and they will not be killable but may bleed, and will not move or do anything. So I think this may have been what you experienced. -
You need this thread.

Calculate the profits the DayZ devs have already pulled in. In the first month, over 1,000,000 copies were sold, each a cost of $29.99. If you add it all up, that's $30 million dollars (almost). If you cut out valve's cut, which I think is 30%, they're still left with $23,000,000. Now, if you can't develop a good game and keep updates consistent with $23,000,000, there's something wrong with your dev team. I know the DayZ team are very hardworking and will continue to develop and fix this game until it's in a polished state at least. Also, Dean mentioned previously his intentions to release DLC for free. Additionally, it's way too early to release expansion packs, considering the game is in pre-alpha in a buggy and unfinished state.

Well I've done a couple of expeditions in the Australian bush and never died, lol. I think it's fairly safe to say Australia's creatures are more dangerous than Russia's.

Face masks: Shemagh. I want to look like a bandit from the mod again. B)

I know for a fact that redback spiders and cobras don't call Russia home. And thinking realistically, how often do you walk through the woods and get covered in furious bees or bitten by a snake?

Why does everything get ruined when you get shot?
JSparks (DayZ) replied to Zjasuu's topic in General Discussion
I agree, it feels at the moment as though everything is ruined when you get shot. I think it should be based more around where the bullet actually hit. -

Good evening, I'm taking requests right now for DayZ wallpapers. Mostly scenic, you choose the time of day, location, scene, etc. I'll do anything within reason, and I can do either 1920x1080 or 1920x1200, you specify. I'll keep this up as long as I can, so please by all means if you'd like a wallpaper ask away. Here's one I made earlier. 1920x1080, sunrise view of Chapaevsk, off Chernogorsk.

Quick Question about DayZ's Character System.
JSparks (DayZ) replied to Konahri's topic in New Player Discussion
It's designed for convenience. The idea that regardless of what server you play on, you still have the same gear and stats is the driving force behind the hive system. Yes it's easily exploitable, but there are so many fragile things that could go wrong in having individual gear for each server - the constant fluxuation and dying out of servers, host migration, forgetting which server you had that one good gun on, just to name a few. Hives are quite a sensible idea. -
Just so you know I can also take free cam shots, I have access to an editor so I can literally take a photo of whatever from wherever.

Click the images to see them in their native resolution, 1920x1200. One of the Elektrozavodsk coastline from above. I hope it'll do; I couldn't get a good one of the actual town so I just went for a broader shot. Aerial Vybor shot Svetloyarsk by night

So, if you port an ArmA II vehicle into DayZ SA and attempt to drive it, this happens.
-
I'll test that now. -edit- This happens. Kind of looks like a boy band gone wrong..
-
The really hilarious part is that it happens to every unit and every car. So for everyone wondering why DayZ SA has no vehicles, here's your answer.
-
Did you have any difficulty with the more intricate aiming processes or interacting with objects? Interesting stuff.

Use the search function, Luke.
