    The old bandit skin I don't know about. It was far too easily visible yet clearly marked you as a bandit. Honestly I feel that a darker, more camouflaged bandit skin should be introduced as findable clothing. Take a look at this mod on ArmAHolic and tell me what you think, I feel that the darker green KSK skin should definitely be findable. :)

    Favorite DayZ Map?

    Three way tie between Lingor, Taviana and Namalsk. It really depends on how you feel like playing though, for quick PvP I love Namalsk, but for survival and intense PvP I generally play Taviana, Chernarus or Lingor. Once again it does really depend on what you feel like playing. :)

    Will Sniper Rifles be nerfed in the standalone?

    Have a good think about it. If you were shot with a CZ 550 in reality, would you expect to walk away after getting a little morphine and a blood bag or spend months recovering in hospital? I have heard rumours that in the standalone weapons are not "Nerfed" but rather will have a much greater impact; as they would in real life. If you get shot it will be a huge impacting factor on your survival and will not be quick to recover from.

    need help! arma II co ro arma III????

    Assuming you're on the DayZ mod forums because you want to play DayZ, you really shouldn't even be considering ArmA III solely for DayZ mod. My opinion is that DayZ is a unique mod with not so many similar competitors, and to add it to ArmA III is more a dream than a considerable possibility. So to be honest I would either wait for standalone (a fews months minimum) or just go with ArmA II CO. Also as an edit, there is a DayZ mod for ArmA III however it does require Chernarus from ArmA II I believe. It is called "Zoombies". Sorry for using a RhinoCrunch video as an example but this is really the only gameplay I could find. Nonetheless, I would go for ArmA II. [/url

    Emotional death

    I'd love to see a fade-in death screen so it seems like you lose your character as your screen fades to black and then progresses to the you are dead screen. Nice idea!

    More dense forests and their impact on gameplay

    You could just turn ATOC on for all trees and grass in your graphic options. It makes forests significantly thicker.
  8. Last time I found a heli crash it had 5 M1014s and nothing else. I was so so sad.
  9. If weapons can supposedly only be obtained by killing other players, where do you propose they get their guns? I play on one server most of the time and still go for heli crash loot trips after every restart. The only problem is that now almost every private hive has customised their loot tables and reduced the spawn rates of crash site loot. So I blame private hive owners for making their server loot underpowered.

    I'm a Part-Time Bambi Bandit and I Need Pointers

    I heard there was an awesome sniper spot in the middle of the runway at north west airfield. If you want to improve at shooting any gun, play the campaigns in ArmA II CO. Also try PvP servers, preferably those where you spawn with a rifle. The more you shoot, the better you'll get.

    Fog system from Arma 3 -> DayZ standalone?

    Don't think that for the standalone they will only use systems from Bohemia's other games. I would not be surprised whatsoever if they developed an entirely new fog system for Day,. After all, its quite an important gameplay factor.

    Anyone ever get robbed trading?

    I once had a trading post of sorts up and running but ended up closing it quickly. 3/5 times the guy would just shoot you and take the weapon, so I then moved on to tent trading, which unfortunately ended up similarly. I would always tell them to bring a backpack and they never would so I used to end up shooting them fairly often and just leaving the gear where they died. So do yourself a favor and don't try trading. It's not a worthwhile hobby.

    How to Really Increase FPS?

    Navigate to C:\Users\(USERNAME)\Documents\ArmA 2\ArmA2OA.cfg and open the file with notepad. Read the values until you get to "GPU_MaxFramesAhead" and "GPU_DetectedFramesAhead". Change both of their values to 1, this will dramatically increase your FPS. Also, assuming you have a quad-core CPU with 4 or more GB of RAM, open DayZ Commander, open the settings tab, under "Additional Launch Parameters" enter this: -cpuCount=8 -noPause -exThreads=7 -maxmem=4096 -noSplash That will increase how many CPUs ArmA can use, disable pausing when minimizing the game and turn off unnecessary loading screens. It will also allow ArmA to use 4GB of RAM rather than the default which I believe is 2GB. Let me know if you get any FPS increase from that.
  17. How will I play standalone? Hopefully at 60 FPS recording gameplay for my channel! On a more serious note, the fact that the zombies can, in theory, run indoors is a slightly scary thought. The hospitality of shelter is so inviting, and after getting so used to losing zombies by running into houses, I have no doubt it'll take some getting used to. I feel that new players will likely not have such a hard time as obviously that's their first DayZ experience, but for the mod's players it might get a little uncoordinated. As for the whole debate with spawning zombies, the situation could become inverted; players might see dead zombies and assume there are players around. Either way, it will add the immersion of the game and add a real incentive to killing zombies, which I agree with indefinitely. A question for anyone who can answer it, is there going to be an "Agro limit" in standalone as there is in the mod currently? I believe it's around 24, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm just curious as to what will be more dangerous about zombies, mass or power.
