FPS same on very high or very low settings problem
arrowxd replied to jamestrendall's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
SSD'S cannot always increase fps, as he said, it can only help fps in terms of write speeds .etc, As the ArmA engine runs like shit go find some tutorials to make the game playable, if the fps is under 20 then it isnt playable 25-30 fps is playable, just give your eyes sometime to adjust to the framerates and speeds on what appears on your screen, dont be too picky, forget about the fps just make it playable, then play -
Anyone else remember the great original DayZ servers before all of this new AI and Custom buildings? Is there still any old, normal, original servers out there that can bring back that First Logon DayZ Nostalgia? The fear of zombies and players, not awkward OP AI's and stupid amount of barracks and vehicles! Is there any good servers out there that can bring back some good original DayZ gameplay?? Please reply i wanna find some good original servers in preparation for Standalone :)

Yep, but i still find that these types of servers takeaway that 'First Spawn' feel. its too easy to find an endgame in these servers, its like DayZ easymode

G850 and XFX RADEON HD 7770 Good enough for Dayz?

Cheers mate, didnt want the hassle of updating my BIOS as i have to flash it .etc -
Did you win??
-
Hahaha, so funny. I honestly do no even care of what language is used towards me, 'Cunt' 'Bastard' .etc, It shouldnt refer to my age, at all. Maybe you didnt use 'expletives' towards me because i didnt use any towards you.
-
Its still my opinion, good job on making a server and contributing to DayZ community and popularity, but maybe you could make it more 'Bare Bone' survival DayZ? Without the AI and the features that dont feel like DayZ

Is there any good vanilla servers???
arrowxd replied to arrowxd's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Sure thing! -
Why do you insist on referring to my age? It has nothing to do with my opinion, i dont like the server, thats my opinion
-
Server sucks, it takes away the complete experience of the old DayZ i remembered. Vanilla DayZ servers are the best and always will be. It just has too many features like base building for my liking.

G850 and XFX RADEON HD 7770 Good enough for Dayz?
arrowxd replied to HWBMx's topic in Technology/Programming
It is compatible because i have the exact same parts in my pc, enjoy. But i would consider upgrading to in i5 3570 or a good 3.ghz i3 processor that uses the same socket (1155) -

Look, because of the cpu bottlekneck and because the ArmA engine is very cpu intensive, whether you put it on low or high, you will get the same fps, its the most stupid thing ive seen in game engines (apart from WarZ). Any setting below high uses the cpu for the most part, so if i set mine to high i achieve higher frames like what colekern said, the 7770 is good, the cpu isnt great, the frames are playable though, but no need for very low or low settings, put it to high with video memory on default and that is around the same frames it will run at consistently, 25-30 fps in elektro, and cherno, 40-60 out and in the wilderness a bit more. Its good, and for a first build it should do fine but if you can get a i5 or i7 it will benefit in the long run, im upgrading mine soon as possible to an i5, but just make sure its compatible with your motherboard if you are going to change the processor. -

I have the same build exactly,i run it on high and achieve around 25 fps in cities, 60+ outside but thats my build, i have modified mine and updated drivers. The G850 isnt great man, trust me. Its good but DayZ has to rely on my graphics card like %70 of the time, so it should be ok. but not the best. im upgrading to in i5 3570. If you can get an extra 4gb of ram, make background programs run faster and more allocated memory will go to ArmA loading -

Hi, im kind of new to building pc's and im pretty sure most of you out there know alot about cpu compability, right now DayZ Chernarus runs pretty swell, There is framerate issues but not of that which makes it so i cant play, But my frames are pretty good in other games, but i want to upgrade my cpu, as i show you the specs please take into mind that his was my first custom pc i built so i didnt want to go all out and buy the best parts because i had no idea if i was going to mess it up, Here are the specs of my current build.. 1GB XFX Radeon HD 7770 Intel Pentium G850, Socket 1155, Dual Core, 2.90GHz (Sandy Bridge) LiteOn IHAS124-04 24x DVD±R Fractal Design Core 1000 Corsair CX600 600WATT power supply MSI H61M-P31 (G3) Motherboard (1155 socket) 4GB Corsair Value DDR3 PC3-10600 (1333) 500GB Seagate ST500DM002 Barracuda SATA III 6Gb/s, 7200rpm Windows 7 64BIT Professional And i want to upgrade to an: Intel Core i5 3570K,1155, Ivy Bridge, Quad Core, 3.4GHz, 5 GT/s DMI, 650MHz GPU, 6MB Smart Cache, 34x Ratio, 77W, Retail BUT! It says that it does suppourt my mother board because its a 1155 socket, but it says that: Ivybridge CPU's will work on H61/H67/P67 & Z68 Boards but a BIOS Update may be required for these Motherboards to support them. But im not quite sure if its compatible completely and i need to peform a BIOS update??? Can someone please help. Note, the cpu i have in now i sandy bridge and i want to upgrade to a Ivy bridge am i allowed to do that??
