This "suggestion" is rapidly derailing, anyway you can't deny the fact that DayZ has brought many gamers from other games or genres to buying ARMA and playing it. Some of these have played CoD or BF3 or any other shooter, some of them Minecraft or WoW. -
I'd like a combination of the two, some kind of entrance area built out of car wrecks or some kind of mobile base vehicle and an underground area. Anyone who has watched "A boy and his dog" may know what I'm thinking of.

Why would I pick up additional modifications for a gun or different ammo when I can perfectly kill things without it? Just to show off my kewl gunz? Please elaborate and list benefits / disadvantages. Currently I don't see any of these. -
Why is it unrealistic? These towns aren't really big. 30 something houses, school and church. Also there are no drugstores in Chernarus, only hospitals. Edit: Almost forgot about that crap the OP has suggested. Nope, because its already way too easy to grab blood bags & morphine etc.

Are there any clips in the game at all? Anyway this is some serious gun cult sperging here. It doesn't matter as its just a game, you could also name them radishes or coco pops and everyone would understand what is meant. Seriously its like in the old days of CS where people fought over the assault rifle if its an M4, M16 or M16A1. If these were real guns I maybe would care because it could be important, in the game I press R and whatever ammunition I have, if its a magazin or a clip or just shells, it gets magically placed into the gun. Thank you for educating everyone who cares about the right terms for a bunch of pixels. Dude did you even check out the "Noun" or did you just read the "Verb" definition? You get a one time pass for sharing your feelings. usually with . or , you can rotate through available channels. With / you can open chat. To use voice, configure a push to talk button for directional chat. Press this button, then speak into your microphone. Fine the nearest industrial building (Gas station / Storage units etc.), find an axe or a crowbar. In Gear window right-click, select "Remove from toolbelt". Weapon gets placed in your primary weapon slot. Reload. Get close up and whack the infected. Usually either look at them and use your default interact key Or open up your gear window ("G") and the items on the floor have a number on the left hand side. Double-click to move them to the right, e.g your main inventory. If you are bleeding, indicated by the white cross flashing in the blood symbol, open up your inventory, right-click on the bandages and select Apply bandages. This can also be done on another player, use mouse wheel to scroll through options and use default action key to initiate bandaging.Else wise there are tons of helpful threads and videos online, may the Google-Fu be with you.

Eating spears doesn't sound healthy :-). So hmm can you flesh this out? How far is it throwable? How often could you use it? Would it be retrievable? Does it make noise? Etc. etc.

Yeah you think wrong. If you want to lone wolf, live with the side effects this play style can have. Cook tons of steaks and eat up. Not all players are "shady", there may be very few but who knows, maybe you get lucky. Maybe not and you die. In both cases - problem solved.

I think that vehicles generally need more utility than just helping people get around. Not sure if this idea will be too much of GTA style, but the pro's and con's seem to balance out.

All I'm reading is a whine post about not being able to handle infected - where is the suggestion? Anyway if they come running up to you in the open, just step back a bit once they are close by and whack them over. If you are near a hill, run up the hill and down again, they often stumble If you have an enterable building go inside and whack them. With the current patch they don't break your bones that frequently, anyway always have some morphine on you and you are good to go, no biggie. If you go unconscious too often by infected hits, try keeping your blood level above 9k, under that you go K.O. much more often.

As long as the game is based off of ARMA 2 and possibly ARMA 3 without access to the source code, base features that are inherent to any MMOG will not be implementable. I'm against any features that would have people appear in rankings and such. Once the mod has turned into a game I wouldn't be too worried about this either. Remember the game isn't for everybody, if you don't like it or struggle with going up against people with "better" equipment, then it might be the wrong game.. Terrain streaming is another feature that (afaik) is not possible in the ARMA engine. If I remember correctly though Rocket mentioned in an interview that he would love to have larger maps, as the engine should support a map size double that of Chernarus. I'd also be for a very very large map that no one knows by heart.

Yeah but no. I can easily crouch-walk up to an infected as long as he is not looking in my direction and whack him over. Also their line of sight seems ok-ish. Remember human eyes especially are trained to react to movement, if you run around on a field 500m away, you are very detectable, so I guess infected vision is ok.

I guess a general overhaul of skins/textures is somewhere on Rocket's list and I think he mentioned it in one of those interviews or at Rezzed.

I hate to point out the (possibly) obvious - but who says that bandits are always solo? They group up as well. Actually its even worse, once you are playing with several others, it gets way to simple to gather stuff and do shit and after a while you get bored and start shooting people just for fun. -
Could you at least elaborate what for? What is the benefit? What is the disadvantage to it? We could also eat tree bark or flowers, up till now there is no difference to your suggestion.

<OP rides Lukio's boomstick> What for? As long as you can't identify players (except on the show nametags servers) it doesn't make any sense. You are dead, knowing who or what killed you won't change that. Next up as suggestion: <Nemesis Popup> Displaying a mugshot of the guy who killed you the most plus a short clip playing back the last 3 kills he got on you with announcer voice screaming "NNNNNnneeeeeeeeeemmmmeessiisss!" -
