If any of them have found an epi pen, now is the time to use it. Depending on the severity of the wound, it could be minutes, or indefinitely if your blood is low enough.

I think the burden of proof is on the wiki, it's a game wiki so no citations are needed, so anyone could have copy pasted that stuff accidentally or intentionally. On topic, I reckon the rarest item would be the LRS. I found one on my first spawn, but past that they have been rarer than the mosins themselves.

Yeah, that isn't fairly realistic, but there are several armours etc in game such as the press vest that suggest your character is foreign. And again, learning to understand Cryllic is another player skill you can aquire. I made myself learn it a year or so back when I had a ton of free time that I spent playing DayZ with my friends.

There was the debug menu in the DayZ mod, and there was a reason they removed it. The devs want YOU to keep track of these things. I know I sometimes keep a pen and paper beside me when I play, just to count shots fired, confirmed kills etc as it's interesting to look at after, and when I'm trekking long distance I'll take notes of turns, directions and towns passed, which can prove invaluable to give a location to a friend or even to find where I am. Don't expect the devs to count these things for you, do it yourself. It's much more fufilling and immersing as well.

...Uhhh, no it isn't. Players that don't WANT to be friendly are causing that. Not the game. Yes, but that has nothing to do with the game. In the mod, the additions actually meant people would stay away from you because of your skin, and people went for it as a sign of veterancy. You're suggesting not only giving them a way of counting their 'rep', but also giving them extra content. If anything, that will ENCOURAGE banditry. The goal is to not punish or reward any playstyle. Let the player community do that themselves.

Awesome, I'm going to try this some time. My only worry is that I think some people might spawn-in in the corner I choose to camp, which might be a bit annoying if they clip into me and shoot me.

Not planned, AFAIK it should be that your own skills as a player are the skills of your character, so get googling 'how to find north star arma 2' etc.

1. Last wipe will probably be when the last update is, which I don't have a clue about. I don't even know if there will be a 'last' update. 2. Yes, there will probably be custom servers like that unfortunately. I see the point in not getting shot, but you're going to find it rather boring to not encounter players, even uncommonly as with low-pop servers.

Basically that's all there is too it at the moment. Seeing as gear has only a very loose sence of 'permanence' or 'advancement' at the moment, after the first 30 minutes when you have gotten just about everything, the only thing left to do is player interaction. It's gonna be like that for a while yet though, so don't get your hopes up.

In order to give the world a correct feel imo, it needs to be capped at 40 players. Encountering another PC should be a thrill, and something out of the ordinary, rather than a mundane and regular experience in the characters life.

If you want to role play, then go ahead, don't think there will be any features though. I would be interested in trying it, I go to D&D, Shadowrun, CoC games already IRL but it would be awesome to act out something more tangible in DayZ.

Same problem here, although I'm running it on lowish medium settings until my new GPU arrives. I've just put up with it, but if there was a fix I would be interested. I'm running a Radeon HD 6870 GPU at the moment if it makes any difference.

Yeah, from experience it works best with 4door sedans, rather than trucks etc. It's easiest to see if you look on the front seats.

Seems to happen to me sometimes as well. Just make sure you click 'Apply' instead of 'Cancel' or 'Exit', and then close the game, and open again. If that doesn't work, try editing the config file for the game whereever it is.

Pretty weird resolution, is he playing on a TV? And if he's only got an integrated gpu, which I think is what you're saying, the chances are not at all.

Yep, it's not just you. I'm afraid it's the game engine, wonderful for combat sims, but as soon as agility of the PC is brought into the question it doesn't score high.
