Rocket you said this is in alpha and its a time to try radical things so here is one.... When someone spawns they get to choose what they spawn with. Its a time when a player can decide how they are going to play. Lets say they have "5 credits" to spend. Each item has a certain value. They can pick a 1911 (3 credits) and only 2 mags (1 credit each), they can choose only food and water (each 1 credit) or they can choose a map (2 credits) and a compass(3 credits), or they can choose the initial load out. makarov (1 credit) 4 mags (each .5 credits) and a food and water. This will allow people to choose high risk/high reward or just a "safe" spawn loadout. You can consider this "realistic" because "preppers" exist and they have to weigh pros/cons of what they buy and are limited by their money (credits). So yes this system would be realistic. Now the next part is a stretch but possible every 250 hours people play they get another credit upon spawning. Obviously there would be a max number of possible credits and you cannot pick M4's and other good stuff to start with.

Anyone notice....price increase from baseprice of $20 to $28 To be honest, thats kind of unnacceptable especially if you cannot find out until your server is up. If we get stuck with a server on the West coast it will most likely be unplayable for our UK members.

Is it cheating, as in server wide ban? And is there an official rules thread around here somewhere?

Just a way to "mix it up". Most of the time people are tearing apart ideas its because "it wouldnt be realistic" so I gave a reason why it would be. The real question is why is everyone so afraid of change? If its ends up being bad it will be removed. This is an alpha to try things out and see what works best. If this forum had its way. The final dayz would be exactly what we have, less DC'ing. I think being able to change up what you spawn with more be fun.

No.... Maybe people with low humanity would be covered with more and more blood. You should also beable to recognize friends. In real life you can recognize people you know.

SORT OF... Let players choose items. Each have certain values, player has certain amount of "credit". Allowing players to choose their play style.

I honestly dont see any kind of negatives associated with global chat, besides actual voice chat. I honestly think it only limits you when you cannot chat globally. You cannot communicate with server admins, and without communicating with them its impossible to find their teamspeak or forum names. Also what the hell is with some of the responses in this thread? If anything goes "against the grain" you automatically dismiss it with retarded responses.

I ask because I have been in several gunfights and never DC'd, but one in particular I DC'd. Why? First it appeared that the group shooting at us was server hopping to get behind our sniper. Second I killed a guy in the ATC of the NE airfield and I went to bandage myself but then 2+ guys started shooting at me so I had three options. Bandage and get shot and killed, bleed out, or DC. So guess what I DC'd. I already had a fair 1v1 with a guy and won, I didn't feel liking letting the others kill me because I had to expose myself to bandage. I posted the video on youtube and I've got a guy messaging me saying how I'm such a cheater and that he is reporting me.

Do we need to contact you guys to get permission to host a server if we use a company such as HFB?

Can we pick the location? Most of our group in in the US, but we would rather have TX or farther east for our UK players. Also is it possible to pay with paypal? We have agroup of people who want to split the costs and it would be perfect to just send our $$$ to a dedicated paypal account.

This needs to be one of the next things to be added. If you get shot in a firefight and go prone to take cover you are forced to expose yourself for a long time in order to bandage yourself. Same goes for accessing your inventory. You could possibly make bandaging slower when prone, but it is a must. IMHO this needs to be added when DC'ing is removed. The only reason I have ever DC'd is because.... I was in teh ATC at the NE airport. A guy comes up the stairs and shoots, but I kill him. I only have <2000 blood and I'm bleeding fast. I go to bandage and two more guys start shooting at me and nearly shoot my head off. I quickly went prone and DC'd. Because it was either DC or die for a BS reason.

(I made this video before I found the Huey in the editor...) The key to flying is.....And Xbox 360 Controller. Just saw a deal for $35 for the wireless one plus the wireless adapter too. I kid you not I made this video 10 minutes after installing. I only had 10 minutes of practice flying before making this video. And yes I do crash, because I like to push it to the limit, which happened to be a steep hill.

I want the ability to bandage and go through your inventory when prone. Right now you are forced to poke your head up if you want to bandage or go into your inventory for meds or something. Also I want zombies to run normally. They way they move and run makes it impossible to shoot them unless they run straight at you.

I do very good with the helos and jets in that game too. Yes I realize ARMA is nothing like BF3

I have a joystick and honestly its a pain in the ass for several reasons. The Xbox controller is seamless and enjoyable to use.
