Not sure if this has been suggested before, but I think it would be a cool idea for the character models in Day Z. Firstly, the character will start as normal, but overtime, your characters appearance will start to degrade. His/her clothes will get dirtier, tears will occur in different spots of clothing,This could be fixed by finding more clothing, blood will stain different parts of your clothing and possibly even your skin which could be washed off with water. If male, your character could start to grow a beard, which could be shaved off by finding a razor. His/her hair could start to grow longer, and your appearance would be more rugged overall.

Haha, I agree. I personally would let my Beard grow, but I know some people that would want to shave their beard so I thought I may as well add it in there.
