  1. Hacking has clearly become a major issue. What can players and server admins do towards reporting and assisting with identification and banning of these players?
  2. Ive heard you need to wait for several restarts before a tent is safe for storage. Test it with something trash til it saves successfully. Thats my best advice.

    Barricades

Find a toolbox and remove them. Unless they are located at spots that specificly block removal, the central stake on the wire get as close as possible and scroll should bring up remove option. I generally remove every block I come across if its safe to do so, especially on my home servers.
  4. I am sick of playing and getting essentially one shot by zombies. They only hit for a few hundred but knock me out immediately at random, this often happens on the first hit. They should be able to break legs, deal damage but not knock you out.
  5. Intense. Constant death. Lots of dead survivors everywhere. Maks are gold now. Most areas are impossible to get into without aggro.
  6. I like the idea but I also think they will just be another method for server hoppers to defend their loot spots like razer wire. I would like to see options to defend and protect camps, tents and vehicles. Maybe this can help with that. But razer wire still sounds like the best option as it forces player to remove it with a tool box.

Poll: Do you play at night?

I very much enjoy the feel of night time with light sources and rare nv goggles. I however thing the ingame settings for brightness and gamma need to be locked and compensated for adjusted out of the settings so everyone has a dimly lit and fair playing field. I haven't gotten a chance to play with the most recent patch, which i hear has near pitch blackness for everyone, no matter their settings. While i feel that is too dark, I prefer everyone at least having to deal with the same conditions.
  8. Yes. Spawn with nothing, no backpack, no gun, maybe a "bandage" torn from your remaining clothing.
  9. YES to visual decection, NO to sounds. I think all signs should remain visual. Add blood to hands, clothing which fades away; recent kills brighter.

    sandbags non-persistent..?

Where did you find sandbags at? I haven't seen anything related to them in a long while and figured they were removed as of late.
  11. Fixes: 1. Random Environment damage/death 2. Desyncing 3. Bugs with backpacks, inventory and looting. Features 1. return of sandbags, wire, fortification options 2. improvements to vehicles, durability, repairability, availability. 3. friendly player identifier options.

    Respawn Confirmation

Brother just did this as well after a few days of being alive and building up some gear. Mad inconvenient for the rest of our group...
  13. I'm sure its not a very simple fix or they would have it working properly but I would rather see them remove fall damage and other world vs player damage for the time being than have to deal with any more random tree branches or doorways snapping my legs. I don't understand how this type of damage can be such a random issue if it also isn't a similar issue in Arma 2 as a whole. Its the same physics, models and map. Maybe it has to do with some coding for the "custom" health system they use in dayz.
  14. I am pretty sure the major issue with clipping has to do with arma's engine being very particular about guns and people running into walls. It is because of this I think one of the major issues facing the game is the fact that touching your body into a wall, any models ingame or even another player can cause catastrophic broken bones, loss of consciousness or even death. There has to be a way to turn this damage off, the terrain has been by far the most deadly part of this game thus far. Is it just as dangerous to touch things in arma 2 milsim or is this a new issue introduced with the mod?
