Hoi, I'm new to DayZ. Started playing three DayZ ago (c wat i did thar?), so, yeah, still a nab. One of the things I'm having the most trouble is is the zombies. Sometimes a zombie is alerted to me and starts raging and charging when I'm prone in the grass, not making a sound nor being seen. Sometimes I can being sneaking around, and some zombie 50 metres down the road gets pissed off starts to chase me - yet there are other zombies in the same area who are much closer to me (5-10 metres) who don't give a shit. How does the zombie detection thingy work? Is it meant to actually work like that? Any tips for successful sneaking would be great, too.

Nice to know it's the zombies, not me. :o Didn't know about cutting corners, nor hiding in bushes. If you hide in a bush/pinetree, do they go away eventually?
