When I walked into the church in Cherno and saw a room full of ghillie suited survivors I thought for a moment that I accidentally stumbled into the "Swamp Thing" convention. OH, the hostages were in the school in Electro? No wonder the looting up at the NW airfield was so easy tonight! Most memorable moment for me during the event? Accidentally getting into the trunk of the car taxiing us to Electro. "Hey guys,let me out!"

Master Plan: I'm going to disguise myself as a pile of tin-cans, sneak into where the hostages are being guarded <<phwing! phwing!>> throw my ninja knives at the guards (silently killing all 35 of them). Rescue Complete!

Diary Entry: I decided to go up to Green Mountain. I heard that if you use a car battery, you can fry the control panel on the level with the locked hatch and open it up. Bet there's a bunch of good loot up there. Bringing my camera to take photos of my success. See yah suckers...

They should have bullet-proof vests for all of the cows, chickens, goats, sheep, and especially the chickens! Oh, and by the way, did you know you can get 2 meat from a dog? Cooked dog steaks are... delicious!

There's those that take the time to look at their victims (zombies or survivors) and other who shoot and move on. For the "shoot and move on" folks it doesn't really matter, it's all about efficiency. For those that like to see where the shots landed, I think the present system is sufficient. What could be improved is the visual zombies pulling apart their victims. That would definitely make the game a bit more scary (especially if that victim is you!)

I am attempting some Halo jumping from a hovering helicopter to the upper "unreachable" platform, so I can explore the otherwise inaccessible top portion of the tower. Expecting nothing, but the experience should be interesting.

@Suzie: Thing is, the excitement of not knowing what you'll encounter the second you log back in is a thrill a survivor shouldn't deny themselves. Plus, think of the "double-take" moment a survivor has when they just "cleared" a room and suddenly a well-armed ghillie is appearing from that very same room!

Actually, at the time, I did see the PBX bobbing next to the fishing boat, but I felt I wanted more of an experience of a large sea craft. Though all that time "at sea" did get my temperature down. Tonight's session went well, especially with the swim and then short drive on Drakon Island. (thank you!) I ended up accidentally driving over a survivor in the middle of the night. I did say "Howdy" in direct chat, but only received silence, but I guess her intentions were other than friendly. Shortly thereafter, abandoning the lada, an ATV was hunting me (no doubt with NV glasses) shots were fired, but I did some fancy dancing in the woods and got away. A particularly amusing night of DayZ and a nice way to end a long day at work. See you back on Planet F8L, "Hi to Jeff."

I had a nice time sailing along the coast at 2 mph in my fishing boat, lights on, offering charter cruises. Fun.

Not to mention that looking at other people in those lil' Skype boxes while playing DayZ is distracting (esp. if they're naked gamers).

As the inventory screen always opens in the same place on your screen, it seems possible to create a macro that does the mouse movement and click operations. What you'd need to do is "in-game" mark with post-it notes on your screen exactly where your axe, pack, open/close pack clickable areas are on your monitor screen. Then, out of game, record your macro of all the necessary motions binding it to a key combination (Function key?) Voila!

Is it possible to "play possum"? I'm thinking about a survivor laying down prone near an actually dead player (so there's flies) and then waiting for the unsuspecting looter to appear.

Yeah, about those 4-digit house codes. Is it possible to just camp out at that passcode lock and try out all of the combinations? And if you do manage to find the right combination, can you then (evil laugh) change the passcode?

I love it when that happens. It was so bad that I was firing off a Lee Enfield in the center of Berezino and no Zeds even bothered to approach me. I figured this was on account of them feeling bad for me. Zed-1 to Zed-2: "(groan) yeah, don't bother with that survivor, he's going to kill himself anyway, falling off the cliff at the quarry"

I think an "Inception"-like map, where the streets and buildings are distorted (turned over themselves) would be a fun challenge.
