I posted this for two reasons. First: if there are any people out there who feel as I do but have not realized the semantic missteps they are making, as I only recently have, I wanted to make them aware of their actions and open this as an option. Second, and more importantly: when people ask me why I talk weird, I can just link them here. Also, if someone really rubs me the wrong way by acting entitled, I reserve the right to start nitpicking their word choice. It is a feat I must perform sparingly, responsibly, if at all.

The ability to alpha test for this mod is indeed a major feature of Arma II, if recent sales numbers and unique tester counts are anything to go by. It's perfectly reasonable for BIS to list it.

This isn't a game. A common misconception, but false nonetheless. This is the alpha test of a mod: a thing that could, with time and effort, eventually become a game. Those problems you listed are game issues, not alpha ones.

Well shot in the dark here, but I'm guessing someone's memory was corrupted. Probably either yours or the server. How good is your RAM?

As far as you are concerned, you can not create another key yourself. You may buy another and do with it as you see fit by either playing on a seperate machine or swapping your registry key values.

That would be in the case that the bullet doesn't slam into enough reinforced vest to dump every last joule of its kinetic energy into the target's muscular and skeletal structure. People wear kevlar because it can save their lives, not because it's comfortable or fun.

Have you ever looked down the sights of a gun in Arma II and changed the zeroing? Where your crosshair is doesn't change a single pixel between 100m and 1000m designations; this is because in ArmA, when you zero your weapon, you're changing how high the bullet fires (equivalent to physically tilting the barrel on the gun up with range) instead of how high your crosshair is positioned. Subsonic rounds hit high because they zero guns to 1000m. Continue to debate this amongst yourselves if you wish. I've not only shown you how to find to the answers, I've gone out and gotten them for you mysel; I've contributed everything I can to this thread.

That "ballistics change" is a combination of increased zeroing (which is why the bullet leaves the gun at a higher trajectory) and decreased bullet velocity (which is why the curve is sharper).

Also, in case you weren't aware, being female doesn't give you any special right to descriminate against others, to treat them like crap, exclude, and insult them because they were born male. It doesn't give you any magic pass to be a bigot. It doesn't get you anything except the reproductive organs it includes. The same goes for being born male. You're not "fighting back" any more than someone whose parents are murderd by a person of jewish faith is fighting back by growing up and becoming a serial killer that targets jews. You're perpetuating this descrimination against innocents who have done nothing more than be born with a gender that isn't your own. Innocents you have no reason to believe have ever descriminated against or put down women in their lives. If you really want to fight bigotry, take a stand against it and demand equality.

So because you've seen people be discriminated against, it's okay to do the same to others? Do you like watching females treated as less than human? Whether you know it or not, that still happens to many people in many places in the world; sexism is alive and kicking. If you don't like women being put down, pushed around, abused, or just discriminated against for their gender, why would you do it to others? You're doing the same thing those people are. If you do like watching women kicked around for no reason, then shame on you for judging them just because they were born with ovaries; they're just as capable as any other human.

What's wrong is that you've started a group for the express purpose of discriminating against and keeping out an entire gender. You can come out and say it 'allows' men all you want, but in the OP you not only say that verbal identification to prove gender will be required, but you refer to the entire male gender as "those fuckers". If I started a serious "Manly Man Day Z Group" that didn't allow girls because 'they have enough people to play with as it is' and said we would 'show those dumb bitches how to actually play video games', I'd get flamed out of the forums for being an ignorant, prejudiced, ass. This isn't any different. Who are you to judge an entire gender's worth? There are some terrible, awful, nasty female gamers out there, and a whole lot of kind, caring, intelligent male ones. The same is true in reverse. People of any gender can act any way.

Yay, sexism! Gotta love double standards: when men don't allow women to join their groups, they're unfairly discriminating against people who are just as capable as they are; when women don't allow men to join their groups, they're just trying to stick together with their gal pals.
