Posted your entire suggestion in black instead of automatic, so nobody can read it. Nice. Apparently a newbie's perspective is dark and confused. Also, most of these suggestions are already either options or in the game. Try playing the game a bit before coming in here and talking about features. -
Yeah, your whole race car analogy aside, that's exactly what I said. Rocket didn't shut down anyone's server, he called the hosting company and let them know he would be blacklisting their IP if the problem wasn't resolved. The server hosting company terminated the server, as the person who purchased their hosting agreed they could when he signed up for it, and the problem was resolved. Your whole post was basically a rehash of mine. I don't see how I'm "mistaken".

It's a cheating thing. People are using scripts to abuse security holes and gain control of Day Z players and their items. Just keep calm, respawn, and carry on; they'll be banned swiftly by the cheat detection client. Also, don't give yourself beans. It devalues the mechanic and makes you seem like a jerk.

Why not just shift-tab into an online map and find all the loot without modding your game? That way you have nothing to worry about.

Not his fault. Dude signed a ToU stating that his server access could be revoked without refund for violating the Day Z server hosting guidelines. All rocket and co. did was give the server hoster a courtesy call before negatively impacting their business and allowing them time to take care of the problem themselves; they didn't force anybody to do anything, and if mr. incoherent angry rage up there has a problem with anyone over that, it should be with the server hosting company. Not that anyone here gives a flying can who he has a problem with, anyway. Dude needs to punch a pillow or see a therapist or something.

"Day Z Dev Abuse" is an oxymoron. It's their game to treat however they want, and if you don't like it, you can go play a different one.

Items are Hive based, not server-based. No amount of server restarting is going to put your items back if they aren't there on other servers. -

Right, I got that, but you list all the machine guns as "S, FA". If you look back at Day Z DB, you will see this is not the case; they all have only one firing mode: FA. Also, Semi is short for semi-automatic, meaning the rifle chambers the next round as part of the firing, but only fires one shot per trigger pull. This is different from burst fire, which involves firing a burst of rounds with each trigger pull, and is actually closer to what you call "Single". I've handled a MK 48 and currently have a M249, and I've never seen any firing mode but auto on either of them. -

Yeah, there's a tiny possibility that the one person that you're looking for, out of the hundreds of thousands who play this game, will see this post. You know who else will see it? All the other people who come here looking for relevant discussions. You want to meet someone? A lot of people want to meet someone, but they don't spam the forums with it. Post in the missed connections thread or go back to the castle and wait for them so they can shoot you in the face. -

There's a reason we have a megathread for this sort of thing; when every person who does anything with another player in Day Z posts about it on here, the forums get clogged to impractical levels with uselessness. -

Hundreds of people have trucks around Zub Castle. Thousands of people play this game each day. Nobody has any idea who or what the hell you're talking about. If you want to share your stories with us, that's fine, but don't come here posting letters to random people identifiable only by vague characteristics. This is a forum, not a diary. If you want to communicate with the community, then post like it; if you want to communicate with a specific person, PM them or post in the missed connections thread. -
Pick up the M249 SAW or FN FAL?

Get the SAW, never run out of bullets, and thank me later. The FAL is good if you like hunting players from 300-600m ranges, but it doesn't really do anything a half-decent sniper, or an assault rifle with a bit of patience and experience, can't do better. -

Oh hey, you didn't screw up the audibility range for the M249 or commit any of the other stupid oversights I've seen in every single other weapon chart to date! You get my beans for that. Good chart, probably the best there is. Edit: Just a note though, the M249 and many of the machine guns don't have a "Semi" fire mode. They only have full-auto. -
The "harm" is permanently dooming people in certain time zones to spend every waking hour of Day Z in the dark, and people in certain other ones to spend all their time in the sun. A better question is, what possible reason could exist to make this sort of thing reasonable? You can't run the servers at 1.2x speed, or 2x speed, or any x speed other than 1x thing. Welcome to ArmA.

There's a difference between a server having "a" hive and being linked to the official hive. Private hives are hives too. It does suck that there isn't a better way to pick out private servers from official ones, though.
