    Do what you want. It's your game, test the way you think is best. We gave you options. You don't have to drop it; there's other things you could do with it. We can't manage your inventory for you. That's your agency as a tester.

    You could find a trading company and either trade it for some nice gear or trade some things for ammo.

    Well tough. It's ArmA II's system, so you're stuck with it if you want to play. Right click on it in your inventory. Make sure your primary weapon slot is empty.

    Is that what the kids are calling it these days? Back in my day it was silhouetting or just standing on top of a hill like a moron for the less technical circles.

    Ditto. People play this like some sort of loot-collection meuporg where the only goal is to gear up and murder everything, then act all surprised when they run out of things to do after they've geared up and murdered everything. There's so much more to do in Day Z then hunt for better equipment. You have no excuse if you allow your gameplay motives to be limited to just loot, and you shouldn't be surprised when you run out of things to do when you inevitably get all the loot there is.

    Once more: you have some machine guns listed as having S (aka single or semi) and FA (full auto) modes. This is wrong. Machine guns do not have a semi-automatic mode. Nor are they listed as having them.

    I, for one, am tired of deleting every HIVE I type and replacing it with Hive. It's lower case and grammatically correct, which, as we all know from the industry's hottest marketing departments, makes it boring and stupid.*wiggles eyebrows* So, who here wants to help me come up with a backronym for HIVE? If we can find one that doesn't suck, both versions will be correct; truly, a service for Day Z players everywhere. Plus, it could be fun. I'll start out with a terrible first attempt: Hosted Item Validation Echelon Yeah, that sucks. Someone do better than that.

    Try reading some of the basic guides pinned at the top of many of these forums. Go out, do a little work on your own, at least make an effort to educate yourself using readily available materials and fix the problem yourself. If after reading up on the subject you're still having issue, then it's time to go ask other people to take the time to explain the process to you. Those guides exist so that we don't have to stop and help every single person who installs Day Z. You've got to take a bit of initiative; this is true for many more things in life than installing this game.

    If you don't want your two cents commented on by others, don't post them in a public area designed for feedback. You shouldn't be surprised that you've caught a little flack for jumping right into something and immediately trying to suggest ways to change it without taking the time to learn about it first. Just take it in stride, learn a lesson from it, and lurk moar next time.

    Tried and failed to find the thread discussing this incident, but I remember the server hoster having a ToU that stated violating Day Z hosting guidelines was subject to service termination without refund. Since I can't bring up anything to support that though, I guess I'll just have to leave it as my opinion.
