    Babies! (Well, society)

This is.... not as terrible an idea as it should be. Trying to keep humanity going in the wake of the zombie apocalypse is a fundamental goal that Day Z doesn't really represent. Then again, maybe that's because it messes with a lot of the dark survival elements of the game. I feel like if this was implemented, people would just chill out in tent cities stuffing their faces from piles of beans and steaks as their army of clan-men filed in and out to mate. Maybe that actually wouldn't be too terrible to see; I'm laughing just thinking about it.

Murder count does not go up when....

This is a legitimate thread about a real issue, but it's in the wrong place. This goes in the bug report forum. Tagged for move so this can get the visibility it deserves.
  3. >OP proposes zombies use guns >Entire thread is now irreparably tainted.

    Windows and Dayz so Far

Can't believe OP bought a Mac and expected it to game. I built my desktop for under 1k and I'm pretty sure it has more GPU processing power (measured in FPS) and CPU power (measured in GHz, weighted first by core count and second by thread count) than all of his benchmarks doubled.
  5. This takes me back to my old Urban Dead days. We need katana-studded trenchcoaters running into Cherno and Elektro so they can waste all their ammo on zombies. Good times.
  6. As long as we're arbitrarily punishing gameplay styles, why not make picking up spawned loot alert all zombies in 100m? Makes about as much sense as this.

    Helicopter crash sites

They already have. They're the blue circles on the map. Notice how there are no blue circles.
  8. Oh, I get it, DocFox is butthurt because his entire group of friends couldn't fight off a single Enfield sniper, and now their disconnecting asses are plastered all over the forums. I get why he's so pissy now.
  9. Above post makes me wish so hard we could +/- rep people on Day Z forums...

    Helicopter crash sites

I've been photoshopping up a map for this purpose on the side. It's got varying levels of overlays, as well as two different heat-map style aura views of the crash sites for easier data analysis. Ultimately, I hope to gather enough helicopter crash data to extrapolate crash site locations that have never been reported! This data will help immensely with that. If you guys are interested, I can keep you abreast, and it's only fair that I post the raw crash site data I have so far for you to use (once I can access it later on today).

Zone of death - off map

As a player' date=' you don't get to justify mechanics by whether they're "intended" or not. That's for rocket to know and decide off of. Many intended mechanics suck, and many rule; the same goes for unintended ones. If someone is really going so far out into the wilderness that [i']nobody can find them, they're going to need to get supplies. If you want to find them, just follow the people who bring in food and water. There's always a way to find someone in Day Z; most people are just too lazy to bother.
  12. I think the problem is not just that people are joining NWO and acting contrary to the organization's goals. NWO are saying that it's also people tagging as them without even joining the group, from what I can gather. You have an Officer accompanying conscripts in the field, but you don't have Officers accompanying every random Cherno sniper or Airfield raider that switches his tags to yours in order to lull other survivors into a sense of security.

Zone of death - off map

Vehicle hording is being addressed, but there's nothing wrong with hiding tents. Tent Cities are emergent gameplay elements symbolizing survivor strongholds, and add a lot of depth to end-game struggles. If you don't like tent cities, load up some beanz and coke and start searching outside the map; they're fairly easy to spot.
  14. "Get your house in order" sort of sounds like an aggressive thing to say, but with way NWO's public image has been taking hits lately, I think it's quite true. Tough for them if they really don't condone these shoot-on-sight incidents that keep popping up, but fake tags look the same as true ones to other survivor groups.

    NWO GOT HACKED

This thread probably isn't NWO's fault, but it kind of makes them look bad nonetheless. >.>

    NWO GOT HACKED

Yes it should. Also, who cares? Servers are hacked daily if not more. If we all started screaming like children every time it happened, nothing would ever get discussed. And by nothing, I mean even more nothing than usual.
  17. Sit in Cherno, shoot building you see survivor enter, ultimate gank. Not that I approve of that sort of thing.
  18. Like what you're proposing, OP. It would spice up the Day Z world.
  19. My signature link is relevant to this thread.
  20. This sounds like something we should have. It's very odd that you can't drop a smoke grenade at your feet as you run.
