Keep using hackers as scapegoats guys. Blame all your problems on the people who like to learn things you don't know. Because, you know, there's no way it could be one of the millions of normal, immature, ignorant people who don't know better than to get busted by battleye for drawing dicks on the map with live grenades that got their hands on readily available tools. The same morons who regularly spam up the forums with zero-punctuation threads about how much they hate Day Z, and clearly have the numbers, motive, and lack of restraint for this sort of thing; no, it couldn't be them. Because if that were the case, you wouldn't have a faceless minority to blame all of your problems on; we couldn't have that, could we?

Or any sort of eating, drinking, talking in-game, or anything similar. Zombies like noises. -
It will, however, disorient players like a small flashbang if it hits them, potentially sending them into shock. I've experienced this first hand. I've heard tales of people even knocking others unconscious with large throws from far away, but not sure if legit.

I'm currently compiling over 30 distinct crash site locations on my map. That map is a good idea, but it isn't comprehensive, just so you know.

I can get you out of the forest, but once you lose gear you only have a tiny window to act if you want to try and restore it. Not much you can do but start looting for replacements. -

Someone gave us hard numbers for Katrina earlier in the thread, instead of vague assertions. In the entire episode of panicked looting, civil outrage, and violent disaster, there were about 100 murders according to his number. In Cheranus, we have a average post-disaster murder rate about three hundred times what it was in the middle of this actual one, assuming only 17% of us are murderers and using those Katrina figures. If more than 17% of us are murderers (hint hint), the numbers get even more ridiculous. -

Have a source for that? My evidence is that we're all sitting where we are right now, in functioning societies full of people who cooperate, born because people at some point gathered together, created rule and order, learned to care for one another, and only then decided to go kill everyone who wasn't like them. -
