That was removed in a patch awhile ago, look up some more recent videos! Yes we no longer spawn with a weapon.

I actually like the idea, except about it spawning weapons. I could imagine finding scrap loot, maybe a can of food or a soda, and possibly ammo. No weapons though.

Animals spawn in completely random positions, mostly in open fields is where you will spot them. Animals are uncommon, but looking around in a field you should find at least one or two animals.

Happened to me with camo, lost my m107, ammo, and shit like that. I was VERY happy that I didn't lose my Mk 47 that was in my backpack...

It's not possible without a load of work or a new map I think.

I would like to know where you got some of the info, preferably the bit where you say helicopters spawn with in 100 kilometers. Also I have found about 3 helicopters on a server once. 1 in the west around Polana and Dolina, 1 around Stary, and then 1 northwest of the NWAF.

My advice is that if he looks like hes active (Not afk or something) and you know he saw/heard your chat, then shoot him. Anyways, I have found a number of players who were friendly, new players on the coast, people up north, hell even a group in a van. So there are people out there, it's just rare to come up on them.

It is part of the game to add realism. I mean how many people are gonna wash up on shore in a zombie apocalypse with a gun, morphine, bandages, and ammo?!

I don't think people know that crashed helicopters (Like cars now) spawn in completely random places unless I am wrong. Anyways if I am wrong you forgot one spawns next to the factory north of Dolina...

How about some loud ass explosions? I could imagine someone going up the tower, and then there's just a BOOM BOOM BOOM and he fucking jumps off the tower.

There is no "paintjobs" in Arma or DayZ. Yes if it is grey then it is hacked, so avoid it! If you find a small darkish green helicopter then it's legit.

Dude that is freaky as hell! If me or my group heard that while going around I bet we would be doing some of the reactions in the video, but we would soon notice that someone was screwing with us! I wanna see more videos and also how many sounds do you have? EDIT:I just noticed that those freaky voice sounds are from an old source mod I played...

Ok I got a story of my group (Or well me and my friend) using me as bait for a sniper deciding to ruin our beef steak campfire. Basically me and my 2 friends (I will call them K and T for short) are running around the areas around Stary and such, and we decide to head to Berezino for a medical run. We are a bit east of the NWAF when we decided to do this so it took us a few good minutes as well as a few breaks to look into towns and check if anyone or anything was in them. So we get to the round going north of Novy and one of us spots a cow, so him and the other member decide to go get some food while I watch our front. After they killed the cow and got a fireplace start is when shit goes down. I'm prone in a bush when I hear a big ass bang behind me, turning around I noticed T was dead and K was running away to avoid death. So I am sitting here trying to decide what to do (Our usual thing to do when we get into these situations) and he comes up with this WONDERFUL idea that I should keep the sniper on me while he goes south into Novy and flank the sniper. So I am sitting in a bush waiting for K to get into position and he gives me the word. I start running around between bushes and trees as this sniper (To the sniper, you have the worst aim in the world...) continues to shoot around 20 bullets to the area around me. So after a bit of this K tells me he can't get an exact location due to the sniper being in a ghillie suit. So I decide to take my chances and look for him (I feel that I am the lookout for the group because I usually spot things before others) and spotted him a few times before taking on more fire. Again I am running around and finally K says he has a shot so I ran behind a tree watching as bullets flew past me and then I heard a mass of AK fire. I looked back towards where the sniper was to discover that out plan worked! And that my friend is how my usual day in DayZ got turned into me being bait. I also have claimed his sniper, an M107, as my own and would later use it for a 600m shot that ends with a bandits head being split open after a big firefight inside the NWAF ATC tower...

Ya, it should be on the wall to your right if you look in the direction the fire station doors are facing (The big red doors). Go up the tower and look in the corner closest to the back of the building and you get the option to get out. I use only if A:I get trapped in the same situation as you or B:SHTF and I have no other option but to use my escape ladder

If you happen to go off the edge of the map you will find an endless field of hills, mountains, and shit like that.

The weapon with ammo (Gear) is that there is either A:Loot you do not need B:Multiple items that you need or C:Stuff you may need The switching weapon symbol means there is a single item you need, its sorta a quick take so you do not need to go into the gear menu.

Wrong, there are many people who are friendly and will happily help you but I wouldn't trust the guy you meet on the street.Anyways, yeah food and blood bags are the only way so far.

I believe you can use A2F but if I were you I would MUCH rather buy A2:CO. Its worth the money that you have to spend.

Ya the bus ride only lasted around 2 minutes, then everyone got shot and killed by 2 bandits with M4s...

Had something like this going on at another server, was running through Cherno and a bus came out of no where, and the driver was giving rides! Regretfully we ended up getting lit up by bandits...

All servers, but they are EXTREMELY rare, I also believe it takes a load of work to repair one. The only thing that might be a problem, is most servers the helicopter has been claimed by some group who either runs the server or uses the server as their main home.
