Oh wait a sec...that was before my time but it sounds like an very good idea! ...If you want to carry that high end gear you have to take a big penalty by not having a backpack...When you look at the size of these guns it isnt even that illogical imo.

Its not that hard wez: 1. Do not use Sixupdater, DayZCommander or any 3rdparty program...there is a .cmd file that you have to put in your arma2OE folder which you have to use to launch! 2. Copy and paste your @dayz folder and put it in the exact same location (arma2OE folder). Now you got to rename one of the folder to @dayz_test and overwrite it with the one in the rar-package. 3. launch dayz with the .cmd file and report any bugs in the skype chat. p.s. your other hive characters (private and/or public) will NOT get affected by testing! For playing regular 1.7.6.1. just launch the game as you always do from Sixupdater, DayZCommander or whatever

Guess the problem is that it takes so long to get up there and when you find nothing you are disapointed. Unlike balota...when you find nothing there you just keep heading to cherno or somewhere else.

When i spawn i try to get geared up decently which means for me: good backpack with 16+ slots, compass, binoculars, meds (min. 2 morphium), toolbox and tools to hunt (Box of Matches, Knife, Axe) and a military weapon (at least AK47) to be competitive. Of course food like 4 drinks, 3 food items. Now i feel ready for the wasteland and one of my main objective can start...get a vehicle. When i find one i repair it and fuel it up to a certain point (extra wheel is absolutely necessary!) When i got that done i head to NWAF and try to get very good weapons. When i manage to actually do that i do what ever i wont, going pvp for example... I think at least 50% of ppl loot cherno/elektro and head NWAF by foot. I find that too boring.

Nice story OP! (; Most annoying deaths for me are the ones you dont know who killed you and how he killed you! Mostly sniper kills and such...you know when you investigate or scout an area and it goes "BOOM"..."you are dead". Not to knowing how you got killed hurts the most. Unlike dying in a fair gunfight facing your enemy. Once i found an offroad truck and i was driving though polana. The fuel was in yellow condition and i drove over one of those little trash piles because i thought they did no harm since A. i did that before and B. it was a feaking offroad truck! End of the song is that it made that really ear hurting "quiecky" kinda sound when i drove over it and 20 meters later the truck exloped. My char felt out, still alive but very low blood...koma timer...zombies eating me while lying beside my buring offroad in the middle of polana. <_<
