Hu guys, I persuaded a friend to get dayz and he has bought this new laptop. we can play the game although the graphics are quite intolerable as well as fps issues. I had these problems when i first started but in addition he has grey triangles glitching up his screen. Can someone explain to me the new loot system? It used to be every time you walked within x distance stuff spawned but now its different- is this a new loot system or am i lagging?

Hi guys, I know there was a patch lately and my dayz was working fine, but now i cant log in to any servers, it says i have the wrong version whenever i try to log in:( so im missing my favourite server at the moment. can anyone tell me what i have to do step by step? It was working for a while, ive seen the new changes in game, but now i cant log so its a bit sad :( it says KICKED WRONG VERSION i use playwith six

Well i was playing in the patch, zombies could knock you to the ground, goat meat had new skin, stashes etc. But now it says wrong version so i am like WHAt? Commander- when i try to log in i just get numbers in bottom right corner and have to reset my pc

whats the point in trying to get veicels and get a camp and crap. its only a matter of time before someone finds you kills you or steals your stuff :(

Hell hounds is a small clan that lays on the UK Winchester server. If anyone is looking to join a clan where we watch eachothers backs and share the loot just reply to this post. We are mainly a survivor clan, but have to bandit once in a while to get vehicles and stuff.

In a country where there are less than 100 people where there used to be thousands, do you think that realistically people would shoot on sight? Of course not. People are social animals which is one thing the game cant account for. In real life, I dont think there would ever be so many bandits because A. how could they live with themselves and B. how could they live alone? Its one thing the game cant account for, you end up with bandits who dont have a social deficit because of real life friendships who instead like to shoot people because its fun and they might find some good loot. IRL would you kill for a backpack? IRL would you kill for some beans? Of course not. But the game is brilliant because it asks these questions of ourselves and should really make people think. What do you think?

On the server I play on, bloodbags are the form of currency for trades. Because blood has its price. 5 Bloodbags will get you 2 rounds of stanag.

Yep, the ideal place for a camp to hide in would be a dark cave. Rivers needed too.

I use play with six, and dont know ow to distinguish between private and public servers. Ive been playing on a private I assume because its not that busy and the admin is a ****. Whats the best cherno server?

I was just logging in, and it turned out I had been killed before I was able to see my characters view/ status/ hud. This kinda pissed me off, but i carried on playing anyway. After running from the spawn point in the volcano, i log in a field. But when I log in, within 3 seconds of getting screen, theres a truck drives by, stops and two guys get out and hammer me. I desperation I alt f4'd and closed the window. Fist of all, what does this do? Secondly, do you think I was justified? BTW, when I relogged after dying the first time, the original loot i had was on me, but i could not ads or fire my gun, which didnt give me much chance against the bandits. Thanks guys

Webers had just made it back to camp from his raid on the nwaf. He ha just finished putting some scavenged food in his tents and was going to drop of some scrap metal in the others. As he walked through two pine trees, he was set up on by two wild tents, one possesed by the zombie virus, but him in the leg and he fell over- trying to bandage himself, the other tent finished him off, death was instant.

Yes, two were right next to each other, I ran between them, snapped my leg and died instantly

My friend told me about this game and I started looking it up on youtube. After getting a new laptop I am finally downloading Arma 2 and Operation arrowhead. Its taking a long time so I thought I'd join the forums. Although I'm a bambie, I have watched hours of Dayz gameplay and survival guides so I think I stand a chance in Chernarus. I hope to meet some friendlies on my first run through later today. :)

After working my ass off i had collected 3 cars. I was going to pick up my friend and had to drive a gaz on dirt tracks for half an hour and then when i finally got to the main road, this stupid bus smashed into me. I had met the guy before and god it was so annoying. He wasnt ven apologetic, i swerved to avoid- then i survive by the skin of my teeth and the guy shoots me in the head! on a no pvp server! my RAGE my RAGE

So, in the world of dayz, my first death was not by a zombie not by a bandit not by a random nuke but by lagging off a hospital roof. My friend had taken me round electro gathering stuff and just after he logged out i lagged of the roof with all the food and drink he gave me :(

I have this awesome story to share. I had made a good camp near a town (1km) and was going in to get petrol, but the pump didnt work.(yes i cheked the cylinder as well) on my way back i was ambushed by two zoombies and i managed to kill one but the other had me knocked out on the floor- i was unconcsious and it was eating at my legs. I managed to wake up and hacked it to hell with my axe- but my base was half a kilometre away and i had broken legs :( who would then appear but a mighty mrdragon in a helicopter to bandage and heal me, a long life to you good sir!
