With 1.7.1, or 1.7.1.1 dayz, the beta is required. You can find it here : http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php click the top one, that is the latest beta and is backwards compatible. All you have to do is extract it and run it. It will install automatically. Then go to your arma 2 folder, and locate "LaunchSrma2OABetaPatch.exe. Right click it, go to properties, and where it says target, add this to the end of the text. " -mod=@dayz" including the space at the beginning but minus the quotation marks.

According to my main menu I have it all installed correctly. When I join I just get kicked repeatedly. I believe its a battleye issue although ive deleted and re-installed it.

I would re-download the files and replace them with the same files.

the "launch beta patch" in your directory is not a beta patch. It is to launch the beta game. (confusing I know) You can get the beta patch by googling arma 2 beta patch and clicking the first link. 1.7.1.1 is the dayz version and not beta. Beta is for the actual game while 1.7.1.1 is for the mod.

I've used worrom and sixupdater multiple times. It turns out my installation was correct, and its an issue with battleye. I can join non-battleye games, but not games protected by battleye.

Copy the arma2oa.exe from your beta folder, and paste it into your arma 2 folder. Then create a shortcut of the arma2oa.exe. Right click the shortcut click properties, and where it says "Target" add these parameters to the end of what is already there. " -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@Dayz -nosplash" minus the quotes, but including the space at the beginning.

non steam version. I launch the game using "arma 2 launcher" from spirited machine. I have also tried six launcher, launching from steam, and creating parameters and launching it manually from the desktop shortcut. When I get kicked there are no error messages. All it says is "You have been kicked off the game"

Its not working for me. I have the correct version and i still get kicked out of every server. I also have tried re-installing the game, dayz, patch, and beta, multiple times. Check my recent posts, 24+ hours of trying to figure this out. And I have work in a few hours. Any help is appreciated.

I don't have steam, but I am launching combined operations. "arma 2, beta, expansion, @dayz" all appear in the top right corner, version 1.60.93825 appears in the bottom right, both arma 2 and arma 2 operation arrowhead icons show, so I believe my install was correct all along? When I connect to a server, I still get kicked...banned in some cases.

Why would you group CoD and bf3 players together? CoD is a group of screaming, bandwagoning, 13 year old 360 no scopers.

yes, i just didnt respond because its such obvious advice. As I said before, I have literally tried every instructions and every bit of advice on this forum. Multiple times I might add. Im getting kicked from every server.

I am getting kicked from every server. I have followed these instructions and even updated battle eye. One of the 50-75 times i was kicked from a server, it said "updating battle eye 1.56" or something similar, then I was kicked. I have manually updated battle eye a few times now. Any input is appreciated.

The retail version instructions dont work for me. Also you have steam file locations in that set of instructions, I adpated them and it still does not work. Any tips? Doesn't work for me. I am still getting kicked from servers.

How did you get it to work? Which set of instructions did you use?

as an old player, this mod is so difficult to install its unplayable. I dont understand how all these dumb little kids get it working but i cant.

Any fix for this yet? I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, applied patches, running the games individually, merging addon folders, trying different parameters, updating battle-eye, re-applying patches, etc. I'm getting still getting "kicked from game" after trying all last night and today since i woke up. Now im about to go to bed. Dayz files are all correct and beta too. I see @dayz beta in the corner and beta 9835 etc in the right corner. Not sure what is happening here.

yes 1.7 and all you have to do is the same thing you did to upgrade to 1.7.1.1. Copy and paste the dayz files into your @dayz/addons folder.

Literally going on my 14th hour or so trying to install this. I must be missing something blatantly obvious because I've done that, along with every other set of instructions on this forum

I've installed many games, modified many files, and I have been trying to install this game for 12+ hours and 2 days. I have followed every set of instructions and advice and it doesnt work for me. I also took honors classes and graduated at the top of my class. Hrmmm PARADOX I installed 1.7 in less than 5 minutes though.
