  1. With the release of the stand alone, I thought you guys might like a place to talk to your friends and possibly meet some new people if you currently play alone. Not everyone likes to use Skype, and not everyone has a TeamSpeak server. I'm assuming only a handful of people will want to use it, but the server has 100 slots just in case. On the off chance that that's not enough, I can easily upgrade it :) There are currently four public channels that anyone can join, but if you want a private channel for your group or clan, just message me on reddit with your desired channel name and password, and I'll create it as soon as possible. 2. Yesterday's Survivor Gamez has got a lot of people in the mood for competitions and events. It was great fun to watch, but many people want a chance to play (especially as the next SG isn't for another 3 months). The majority of the Survivor Gamez contestants were either well-known YouTubers, streamers or other names affiliated with DayZ. Whilst this is a great idea, as it brings all their fans (and a great deal of the DayZ community) together to one event, it doesn't give regular DayZ players a chance to participate. For this reason, we thought that having a second Survivor Gamez for the whole community might be a nice a idea. Here's a few ideas. - 40 players (20 teams of 2). - The players will start in a circle, with each player about 30m from the centre. In the centre will be tents containing basic supplies (food, drink, medical supplies, maybe two or three pistols). This will give teams an option of whether to make a dash for the tents, but risk being killed, or to get as far away from them as possible to avoid danger. The start seemed like one of the weak points in yesterday's SG. - Utes may work well as a map. In the previous SG, players seemed a little confused as to where the boundaries of each location was and when they should be inside them. Having a smaller map would eliminate the need for boundaries and could result in some more fast paced games. - Helicopters and planes will crash at random times and places during the game, containing random loot (that will be on the body of the pilot). - Food, drink, medical supplies and a gun or two may be placed in the tents at random times, accompanied by a broadcast. This could be an incentive to return to the spawn point and may result in some traps and battles. - There will be no staff on the ground. At all. The only jobs of staff will be to monitor the game (through admin tools) and to crash planes and helicopters (not often). This means there will be no confusion as to who is a contestant and who is staff. - After [to be decided] hours, a helicopter will land at the airfield. The game will end when a player is inside the helicopter or there is only one team left. - This could be a monthly event to give lots of people a chance to participate. Anyone can sign up, whether you're a YouTuber, streamer, or just a regular DayZ player. - As for prizes, I can't personally provide anything. In the end, it's all for entertainment! If anyone has any suggestions, however, please tell me. - Calling it the Survivor Gamez might get a bit confusing. If you have any suggestions, again, please tell me. For now, we'll call it the DayZ Community Games (catchy, I know). I've tried to address the main points and solve issues with the last SG as best I can. If you have any other suggestions or improvements, please post them. I'd like to add that I'm not affiliated with the last SG in any way, I just thought the community might like to participate in one of their own. Sign up: This form is how we'll take applications. However, we have no idea how many people will want to take part, so it will hugely depend on the feedback from you guys. Thanks, and I hope we can make this happen!

Yeah, I'm not home alone that often, so it's hard to sing loud without someone thinking I'm slightly crazy :P
