Just FYI, I really don't think that difficulty setting applies to DAYZ. The mod is what it is. equally as difficult for everybody. :) Until you find some mates to team up with, head inland and loot barns and stuff. Might keep you alive longer until you get a handle on the game and a little more familiar with the map itself.

Do not give up. You will die many times. Sometimes by outrageous things. This MOD is not perfect, after all we are testing the game and asked to give feedback on things we find wrong or even right. Alixtheone is right. Learn from your mistakes. I assure you, you will catch on and like me, completely enjoy this amazing adventure.

In the in game menu Go to CONTROL... turn Y and X axis almost all the way down. SMOOTHING all the way up. THAN go to GAME OPTIONS. turn AIMING DEADZONE all the way down. Turn HEADBOB all the way down. See what those do for you.

Arma 3 isn't expected to release until like 2013... why would you wait? Just buy it now, play it until you get your new comp. Re-download through steam and play again. In 2013 IF it does roll over to Arma 3, than you can decide what to do then.

Man... all you need to do is check the minimum required specs for playing arma 2. If you can find a pc that meets those specs, then you can play. walk into the water a bit NOT TOO FAR. than open your inventory. Make sure the canteen is not in backpack. right click the canteen and it will say fill water bottle. FILL WATER BOTTLE. w00t!

I have this problem with BF3 when my friends are over and were running on the router. Might have to open up some ports so you both can play. Just a possibility
