Rage post: instant death from 2 metre fall
CrossShade replied to jupsto's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Genius at work here. If you fall from greater than two metres while carrying a large backpack full of heavy gear as well as a large rifle and side arm complete with ammo' date=' are you really surprised that a fall/jump from that high up is going to injure your legs? [/quote'] Depends how you land, that amount of equipment even soldiers wouldn't break their legs from, if you make a good solid landing (something you instinctively do but can be improved with training, that amount of weight wouldn't kill/break your bones, unless landing awkwardly. That being said, you can break your leg landing awkwardly from a 20cm fall just wearing clothes. The original impact you make will not be affected by your gear, the bag will be falling above your shoulders slightly do to the parabolic curve from a jump, the actual backpack will make you fall backwards afterwards but will not affect the kinetic energy transferred so quickly. -

Clearly he mistook "cherno" (as in Chernogorsk) for Chernarus. No, I even clearly stated on another post, that different parts of Cherno were hotspots with differential traffic. To the other guy that kept quoting me and is now a stubborn ass, I give up, your kind never learns, nor never admits to wrongs.

As per the topic, its a lesson to new players. There are sad individuals out there that will wait with a sniper for hours on end just to shoot you. I'd call them cowards for hiding but its smart and it works. Its also fun shooting one of these cowards in the back while they sit there wanking to the death of a newblet. As for you, Nobody likes you. Your signature is stupid weaboo crap and your name is unoriginal, and not surprisingly so is your play style. Oh no dude insults my Signature, whatever will I do? Better go cut myself. Also, you have no idea how I play. I certainly don't camp the coast to kill people, that would be boring and unrewarding. -
I'd assume you're going to feel completely stupid after this and either refuse to post or outright be stubborn, if you read who I was arguing against it wasn't the OP, I even quoted the guy everytime. You must feel pretty retarded for even trying to use such insults when you completely misread who I was arguing against.

Why no starting weapon incentivizes killing.
CrossShade replied to CrimsonOmen's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
No' date=' I didn't. Believe what you want. It's nothing to me. Aren't you the guy who argued with me for 3 pages about how probability works and left when you realized you had been wrong the entire time? Rings a bell... "Except it's not. It's irrelevant. The people you are worried about don't give a shit if you have a makarov or not. Getting shot back at is actually MORE interesting to them. It changes nothing." Yes, we believe it's interesting, not fun, JUST interesting. (Synonyms of interesting include Entertaining, amusing etc). Also you were using maths that implied that over an x amount of loot visits you had a 100% chance of encountering x item, obviously incorrect. Rings a bell. (Also I left due to running out of time and having to head out, something I said earlier in the thread). -
"Well, it's part of Cherno, so..." Sorry, I must have misread it.

Except it's not. It's irrelevant. The people you are worried about don't give a shit if you have a makarov or not. Getting shot back at is actually MORE interesting to them. It changes nothing. Add starting weapons back in and not only will these people kill you late in the game' date=' they will kill you as soon as they spawn. And when you kill them, they will spam respawn until they're close to you and come back and do it over and over again. It's why they play the game. They will not stop because you have a macaroni. Just get off the beach, find your friends and play the game. It all works out in your favor trust me. [/quote'] After trying to act condescending and intelligent on the forums you sure do make some posts that are completely stupid in their content. You just decided what players find fun, after days of telling other players that each person has his own perspective of fun. You have contradicted yourself too much in this forum, I believe your goal is just to irritate people by coming off as condescending with no actual true belief in the content of your perspective. Enjoy your hypocrisy. -

It was pvp, Player versus player. Just because they had little means to defend themselves doesn't mean it wasn't pvp. -
Tutorial: How to get items out of crashed heli's!
CrossShade replied to RogueFox's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Did not know the loot was there, always thought it was around, 5 stars. -
After killing two server hoppers inside the barracks, put my M14 on one of the guys, took his M4 SD, put his friends M4 SD in my pack, already had NVG's so I put the two in my pack and a single rangefinder in my pack (other one I equipped). I go across the field to log out for the day, was a good 5 minute run, logout. Login later, my backpack has reverted to the old inventory I was carrying in it. Lost all the items I had in there. Good times are good though, the excitement of killing the players was worth it.
