Remember to crawl into the helicopter crash and look around underneath for loot. Ive found tons of great stuff that no one else looks for under there.

Never played DayZ before and needing advice.

Be prepared for frustration. I remember when I got my first helicopter: I flew around and got a ghillie suit and an as50 from chopper crash sites. When I landed it on the roof of a petrol station it clipped though and blew up... Bullshit happens a lot, whether you get out of a car and it breaks your leg, a zombie knocks you out in one hit, you aciddentally put your awsome new rifle into your full backpack, or the game decides that it wants you to take a long fall into the ocean. My advice would be to carry morphine and have a buddy with you. Dayz gets old quickly if you play alone, not just because of the social aspect, but because of how often another player can save you from a long run back to your corpse. -
Hi everyone, here is the story: I got banned, dont know why. I came back from a week long break from the game to a global ban. I emailed battleye and they said that there was definitive proof of hacking. I dont hack so the only remaining options are either that battleye screwed up (I assume that doesnt happen alot) or that someone stole my guid and was using it to play. I am waiting to see what bohemia says about giving me a new key and if they wont give me a new key I will buy a one. Either way, I dont want this to happen agian. I am not dumb enough to download suspicious software (only related software I have is dayzcommander and a ramdisk app) so I am at a total loss as to how someone could have stolen my guid. I dont share my steam account or related information either. This is not an "OMG I GOT BANNED! TELL BATTLEYE TO GIVE ME BACK DAYZ!" post. I was just wondering if anyone else had had an experience like this or had any advice on how avoid this in the future.

I am trying to get help, why would I lie? I have seriously not downloaded anything, other than the new patches, which I do directly from dayz commander. No maps, no preformance boosters, no youtube hacks (seriously?). If I had I would assume that was the problem and not be fumbling around in the dark for causes. And sorry I assumed that the game key = guid. I assumed thats what everyone called the 32(it is 32 right?) hexadecimal digits that identify your game copy.

So I started playing DayZ about a week and a half ago after watching some gameplay videos on youtube and was been enjoying myself greatly. After a couple days of playing I took a weeklong break from the game to study for a slew of tests and when I got back on I was unable to join because of a global ban. Not really sure how this happened and I am wondering what to do. I emailed battleye support once, then waited several days and emailed them agian, but so far still no response. I cannot find a way to contact either bohemia or battleye by phone (as my emails get no response) and steam has been no help either. I am really upset first by the fact that I did nothing wrong and now the game, which I paid for with my hard earned money, is unplayable and second by the fact that I cannot seem to do anything about it other than buy the game agian, which I refuse to do out of principle. Has anyone else had this problem and if so would you be so kind as to give me some advice about what I should do?

I did buy both Arma and operation arrowhead from steam and I'm not a scipt kiddie, which Is why I'm so pissed off. What would you feel like if a product you paid money for doesnt work and then be told that you can go stuff it by the company (at least thats what it feels like like they are saying).

Some other good tips for zombies: -They cant hit you in pine trees -You can outrun them if you just keep going -Game pathing makes them walk in buildings You can just aggro zombies, run to a pine tree or into a building and axe them to death. It works great when looting buildings although it does leave you vulnerable to players since you have to put away your main weapon. Just a note, sometimes (read: when it is really inconvenient) the zombies will just one shot break your leg and/or knock you out.
