They've always been there. Just not as rampant and out of control.The issue that parallels cheaters, is this whole 'take the admins word for it--BANNED for life' horseshit. They might as well tell innocent people who are banned to prove that they WEREN'T cheating. It isn't logical to ban everyone because there are no adequate tools for admins to accurately pinpoint cheaters. Admin honor-system isn't good enough, and it isn't worth players $30. I see one eliminating the other frankly, if cheats are addressed. -

A month ago I would of said, change servers. Unfortunately, in the last 3 days, every server I have joined has had a cheater and/or exploiter in it. Admins are so unbelievably clueless now as to what is happening due to battleeye really being no use at all, they've even banned 2 people I frequently play with because they had picked up a 'spawned in' item, and/or got into a spawned in vehicle in which they had no part of. I didn't realize how rampant it has really gotten until last night. The very first server I was on, I was run over by something invisible: http://www.twitch.tv...num/b/326061821 The next server I joined I was turned into a cow: http://www.twitch.tv...num/b/326060832 The next server I joined had someone setting off satchel charges in various towns: http://www.twitch.tv...num/b/326061064 (in case you don't know what this looks like: http://www.twitch.tv...num/b/324646496) And finally, I was turned into a chicken: http://www.twitch.tv...num/b/326061199 Now while it's funny to be turned into an animal. The ending result usually ends in death, loss of all loot, or being kicked. This wouldn't be so bad, however if you're like me, and you fucking are, it takes you 5 minutes to load into a server. Long story short. I'm taking a break. -
The AWS is nightvision, not thermal. It's no different than a scoped gun with NVG. *Also. The gun will eventually disappear from your bag leaving the ammo behind, it is bugged. So, use it as much as possible.

I had a problem with getting stuck on the 'Wait For Host' screen. To fix it, I deleted the beta directory in the \arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion directory, then reinstalled the Arma 2 beta patch (currently 94876). I do not launch out of steam, I launch from the _runA2CO_beta.cmd (command file) from the root \arma 2 operation arrowhead directory. Wait, so if you pick up a gun that isn't in the mod, you're considered a cheater? Edit: This concerns me, because some server owners like to have events with weapon loadouts, etc (which I certainly am not against) and I've seen weapons that I don't think are in this mod on many people.

Well, don't worry. Seeing how it's still in the Alpha stages, it is highly possible it will change again. To what? We'll only know when it happens unfortunately. I recommend until then that you enjoy the new prone simulator.

I feel like I should be on the look out for nature. Large cats. Rabbits. Rabid Squirrels. Hogs. Horses. Cows. Bulls. Dogs. And varmint. It's a infectious epidemic right? An out of control virus or disease? Infected? Contagious? Never mind a companion taken from a bad movie idea, shouldn't the companion be trying to eat me when it smells the meat I need to cook to survive? I think so. And before you get too worried about it turning into rabid-zoo simulator 2013, I'm not talking about a massive farm-land invasion, but more of random occurrences... at least. I mean I would think that if there were some sort of zombie outbreak, the first to go would be the animal population, at least in terms of the evolution of disease. Anyone else agree? Or am I alone in thinking that the sound of a hawk over head should have other plans than traveling south. I think it might add another element to an otherwise small gene-pool of zombies. With maybe the exception of a zombie with a flashlight stuck in his head after falling on it.
