Revision to the direction of this organization. Mission Statement: To survive in Chernarus as a collective group while completing assigned tasks to further the goals of Foxfall. Avoid contact if possible or locate, close with and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver, and to repel the enemy's assault by fire and close-combat. This is the mission of the Marine Corps rifle squad and this will be highly incorporated into our combat mindset. If necessary, leave the Survivor population to their own or giving remote assistance to them if they are in imminent danger. To establish a chain of command and a effective organized hierarchy within our group. Also, due to the "lol backstab" in the game, it is very hard to find trustworthy players that do not come to the game to trololol. Even though trolling is fun, A lot of people love the lols from assassinating people and it is quite frustrating when trying to advance in the game carefully and that's what we're here to do. We DO NOT condone PKing in an environment where it can be avoided. I have held many a murder under my belt because the aggressor was not originally a bandit, yet still shot at me. We will do our best to establish contact but during CQB, it is most likely a "surprise" factor which it goes down to whoever shoots first. Aside from that, it's our teammates before anyone else. Protecting our teammates is paramount. Chain of Command: To operate with effectiveness, you must be willing to obey an order, we have multiple team leaders but this will not restrict you to solely operating in a solo mission, two man team operations and so on and so forth. With that being said, I highly encourage small unit leadership and everyone is always able to bring up tasks/missions that they might deem important. Unit cohesion is the first step in understanding what it means to be apart of this group. Requirements/Expectations: As a group, you will be required to attending multiple training sessions in the Armory on communication, combat maneuvers, fields of fire and close quarters battles. Navigation, survival training and self-sufficiency will come from within yourself with my aid if needed. We have a designer that has created a training map for the higher echelon of members should they want to take the experience further. Personally, maturity no matter what age, able to listen and fulfill directives with attention to detail. Willing to work as a team member alongside others and advance through learning while keeping the groups' objectives priority. Able to take the game seriously when the need arises and also able to have fun when it's down time. Aside from that, the only other requirement would be headset with working microphone and TeamSpeak3. Server: We have focused and tuned the Foxfall server to our preferences and utilize that as our primary server. This however, does not restrict current or future Foxfall members operating in other servers. Lastly, we try to accommodate to the players in the group which is mainly from North America as we are working on our European operatives of the organization. History: We have a wide variety of active players that are well versed in real life combat tactics and arms alongside the knowledge of the limitations of what we can implement within a video game. With that, I will spread that knowledge to willing members and stay open to learn from whoever can contribute. "Leave no one behind, no one stranded, and no man alive unless we all die together." - Grimm -
Oh no for correct spelling and pronunciation. Waiting for your Assault rifles video. A lot of people in DayZ do get many physics confused coming from different games and platforms. By the way, don't forget recoil compensation! Been doing training with my organization and we've all learned about placement of the rounds aside from what items the rounds cannot pass through even though they do in real life, I.E.; Camouflage netting at certain angles and borders of windows.

Honestly people, who cares about your sob stories about losing gear. You are an Alpha tester. I lost my items, respawned and started to live on the bean coast. I downgraded and upgraded twice to find differences. I do not know why people are having so many issues, maybe it's a flock of you idiots expecting an easy game. 1.7.2 is awesome, better fps, Zambies are not as erratic, even though they should not stay still. Over all the patch is great from me. The other hurrdurrs just have never had anyone to tell them to shut the fuck up and deal. Only issue I have encountered is putting on Camo Clothing deleted main inventory. Oh well, continued on and searched for more supplies. TL;DR /dealwithit you pansies

EDITED FOR TYPOS. Just shooting out a warning to players as I am an admin on a Seattle server. Logged in to find a night server because I prefer the night, I was kicked multiple times and came back to get proof. I am not frustrated about it, it's just that I'd like to do my part in getting rid or reprimanding abusive server admins. This was due to Human Shield*admin* dying and I'm sure he thought I killed him but that is complete speculation. The following are screenshots of freshly joining the server and getting kicked then an actual screenshot of me loading in and my eyesight attuning to the light and getting kicked. Players beware. *Note: I run a 21(ms) latency to my Seattle server and there was no reason being kicked. (Also, if anyone poses the question "Well why don't you just play on your server then?" Another server admin and I are trying to troubleshoot as to why our VPS at Seattle does not coincide with actual game time. I.E.; 9:18pm PST would render 4:18pm PST in-game when we have set it to GMT -7 and the fact that VPS, you cannot change the time of day in game if you are hosting that way.) Loaded into the game and then immediately kicked: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/76385133/arma2oa%202012-07-07%2021-04-18-556.png Eyes attuning after loading in and kicked: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/76385133/arma2oa%202012-07-07%2021-06-52-973.png 31 ping and getting kicked after loading in: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/76385133/arma2oa%202012-07-07%2021-06-57-977.png

Finally back from vacation and back in full swing for recruiting. More to come with website construction and in-depth explanations with our clan for the casual gamers that want to slay some Zambeez all the way to the elitist crowd which is what we are more populated with at the moment. Thanks to all who have shown interest and keep on droppin' them Z's! -

I apologize to all of the applicants that have been messaging me. I have been very busy and the morning that I actually had time to reply and chat, my video driver crashed and I lost most of the Steam messages. I will be doing my best to integrate everyone who has an interest. Thanks again for your patience. -
Attention: These suggestions are aimed towards what the game can be. The Arma engine is a completely different system compared to most of the DayZ community's idea of what the game can be. Rocket did mention a little clue about possibly making this a standalone game. Also, the development team could have thought of these already. Please post your opinions and modifications to this post and keep it on track. Environment: [The ideas and possibilities are endless and only limited to the imagination of fellow DayZ players. Perhaps a New York themed large scale map?] -Lights in the city some perhaps flickering due to damage. This is only depending on the time frame of how long it's been since initial infection but would add another "creepiness" factor to the game. -Wild animals including bears and wolves in the forest would take out the simplicity of traveling more treacherous. -Wandering Zombies should be able to roam the lands simulating their search for brainz. -Minor amounts of farming due to the theory of moving towards the survival aspect and learning to leave our "lives" behind. -Additional weather conditions and various tactics on how to outlast/survive them. Inventory: [The current inventory that we, as players deal with, was not made for an in-depth system that we are used to as DayZ players.] -Receive an error message when not enough spots are available Perhaps "Inventory is full" -Option to have the Backpack inventory open while looking at your main character menu is open. -A sound of "rustling" while someone goes in your backpack. -A trading system between two characters until a final solution to dropping items and not deleting them. Vehicles: [Once a better physics engine can be added/modified, the vehicles will become even more fun and worth it to complete. Although, many will request more vehicles to servers.] -Inside a vehicle, the option to roll down a window, shoot with a limited field of fire restricted to your seat/location in the vehicle. -Ability to look at the gear/inventory while in the vehicle. -Vehicle listing of the amount of spots in the inventory that are available in the vehicle. Items: [This is a very exciting section due to all the ideas we can come up with together.] -Matchboxes should come in quantanties of 32 matches and can run out. If the elements are harsh at the time of starting a fireplace, it will give a message saying "Match went out due to rain/wind/etc." -Magazines should have an additional feature due to the fact that ammunition is interchangeable now. Now, keep in mind, just because you have 50 rounds of 7.62 and two DMR magazines, you could only fill to only two of those magazines. Refilling a magazine could have it's animation and timed cooldown. (Fillling M16 magazines in real life is very time consuming. =P) -Campfires should have an inspect feature available with three tiers with a time window; Coals are hot (been put out in the last 5-10 minutes, Coals are smoldering (been put out 10-25 minutes), Coals are cold (25-a number left to the players' imagination.) -Option to utilize your sidearm alongside your flashlight at the same time. It takes a lot of training to become effective firing at targets this way and the suggestion would be increasing accuracy when your flashlight is not out. -Weapon attachments system similar to Resident Evil in game would add another dynamic to your personal loadout and have you pay attention to what you are equipped with. Nothing too detailed yet nothing too simple.(Will edit this later.) Character: -To groups and clans, a "leader" should be able to create a badge/patch of some sort and have the option of handing it out to their teammates for identifying purposes. This will alleviate the problem of spies and bandits that infiltrate a group but if that person is patient, it will make the betrayal even sweeter. =) -While spawning in game either a normal day or a malicious ghost tactic, the player(s) that are still in the same room should receive and "Player spawning in." notification and makes all affected players to become invulnerable for a time period. They can A. High tail it out of there without threat of attacks from zombie or player if they were clearing/searching a room or B. Stick it out and wait to shoot the new spawner. Now realize this is immediate area spawns like same room/building. You as a person and player should be able to hear it but it falls upon you if you do not pay attention to the slightest of noises. This will mitigate most spawn deaths but not all. -Spawning over and over to find a "faster" run back to their body so be discouraged. Set a respawn timer of 10 seconds or more to prevent the spam of deaths just to get a good location. Deal with you death and get over it. -!Ghosting! One of the hottest topics alongside DC'ers. Here is my solution; If you have fired your weapon or been fired at in the relative area, your character should be unable to leave the game for an extended amount of time. Your character will remain vulnerable and you will be susceptible to death and perhaps will receive a notification on how you have died while trying to log back on. Now onto Ghosting, a system should be thought out where if you haven't fired or been fired at and still trying "Ghost" towards an enemy position, should you spend a certain amount of time in a server, you should not be able to join into the same server, I.E; I am in a server for 2 hours with buddies and stumble upon figures in the distance and we pin down 2 survivors in a building but they are smart. I have not fired so I leave the server to get into a better position while my friends keep them pinned, I cannot re-enter that server for 15/30 or more minutes depending on how long I've spent in it and my friends cannot ghost since they have been firing at the survivors. There will be no "true" way around ghosting in my opinion. V1 Reminder! This will be a post that I will follow as best as I can and update with new ideas regularly. Thanks for reading! - Grimm

I would rather create my post that I will personally tend to daily rather than flood someone else's post with a huge wall of text. That is just my opinion though due to the fact that I plan on constantly tweaking and editing my post. -

Here we go with someone that thinks they know something. You've obviously never lead anyone in case you think that in my statement implemented that I am in fact the end all, be all of skill. I clearly state that I am not any bottleneck point of success or failure. The reason I am verse in Military Science is because I was required to learn about it while I actually was in the Marine Corps. And yes, I do know battlefield psychology even though you, civilian think it's firefights everyday while boots are on the ground. In which case it really does vary on our professions in the military. Yet another person reading my thread and feeling threatened or offended and thought that posting their opinion would matter. -
