Why doesnt your sidearm stow in that leg holster everyone is wearing? Why does it take up backback inventory anyway?

I wanted to second this, the Arma Tutorials helped me decrease my Dayz helo crash rate from 100% down to about 10% and most of the time when I crash now, it's because I was trying to do something crazy, like getting a Huey to do a loop de loop.

To lose the Zed's, I will either do the tried and true zig zag up a hill, particularly a wooded / forest bearing hill or... my favorite.... I will run a figure 8, looping around buildings / obstructions. This works a large percentage of the time. Hands down the worst thing you can do is run in a straight line in clear line of sight of the Zed chasing you,.

I am a Mac user and had hobbled together a freakishly bad wintel PC to try to play Dayz. After a frustrating week of horrible game play, I came across a post about using BootCamp to install windows on my iMac. I was a bit nervous about it, but decided to give it a shot. I have never had a better gaming PC than my iMac dual booting into windows. My iMac runs Windows 7 x64 incredibly fast and way better than I would have ever thought. BootCamp is part of the MAC natively. If you really want to give Dayz a try, look into dual booting your mac using BootCamp.

**EDIT** I have no idea who runs the server, I have no prior affiliation to the admin or the server, I am just honestly impressed with the way the server is run. I have been playing on this server for a few weeks now and it stands above all of the other servers that I have played before. The first thing I noticed was that the admins give you a starting kit of military gear, which is nice for those new to the game. I have kept to myself for the most part, playing the lone wolf role, observing game play on the server. Seeing how the regulars interact, how the admins treat the normals and I have been very impressed. The admins enforce the rules fairly and squarely across the user base, they don't play favorites however they are not overly harsh either. There are regular events organized to keep game play interesting, with pretty good loot rewards as well. The best of which that I witnessed so far was a game of ManHunter with a fully loaded Helo as the main reward. The admin seems to respect his user base, soliciting ideas from them, putting the ideas up to a vote by the entire server AND.... AND .... actually going with the popular opinion on what was being voted on. I have to agree with their facebook tag line "One of the best DayZ game servers in existence". It's a keeper.
