I would like to warn anyone who is looking at this thread or thinking about getting a server from survival servers to prepare to deal with amateurs when it comes to hosting. These guys are terrible and their service is terrible, I say this not as a flamer or a raging nut. But as someone who is trying to save others from the same pain we have gone through since ordering from survival servers. In our experience with them they have been nothing but a pain and completely unreliable. Don't believe their website and guaranteed response times. In the past 3 months with them we have never got a timely response, and when we did finally get a response from their support team, their support members proceeded to laugh at us and our issues. 9 times out of 10 their response to us when issues were reported was "we don't support customers who use custom scrips on the servers" even though survival servers is totally ok with taking your money to install scripts for you. Let me say that the team of admins we have on our server are no amateurs when it comes to server management or custom scripting. This is not the first server we have ran or run currently. In most cases we solve our own problems when issues arise with scripts. But all too consistently the server is down. And why might you ask? Well its due to survival servers being attacked or breaking their own things. Countless times our control panel has been inaccessible, our database losses connection to the server, or these guys are being ddos'd. As customers of survival servers we have not did anything to break our server. But when vital things are not working, that are out of our hands, we are not to blame. There have been many times were we have gone to survival servers TC Admin panel to do a simple restart or shutdown for maintenance and come back to the control panel only to find that it is unreachable. These guys are always having some kind of issue with their network, the biggest kick in the balls is when you try finding out some sort of information as to what is going on at their end of things. They do nothing to inform the customers, they have a announcement page and a twitter. But neither are ever updated in a timely fashion leaving you with no sort of an idea as to when you can expect to be back on your server. Not to mention how long it takes these guys to release any sort of update to server files or their joke of an anti-hack which is also broken most of the time. When you contact them to find out when updates are expected to be released. They tell you soon, quit contacting us. Now ask your self, is that anyway a company should be treating their own bread and butter? I think not. When you look at what they offer, and find out what how they operate you soon realize what a joke it is. You see why its so much more valuable to be looking at servers that may cost a little more but at least they provide an actual support staff and are on top of things. Suddenly places like Dayz.st, vilayer, HFBservers, and gamers platoon look a whole lot better despite the shortcomings they may have. When it comes down to it, these guys screw up alot. They don't admit to their own mistakes, they don't inform the customers, and their support staff is about as good as talking to a guy in a mental institution. If you don't mind being bent over, don't mind blowing your money down the nearest toilet, don't mind dealing with a group of 4 year old's then go with survival servers. But, if any of what I said leaves you wondering or your stomach turning, then go elsewhere. Trust me you will be happy you did, I know that we are leaving as soon as we can get back to our server, inform our players, and grab our files.

the TC admin is still down, and the website seems stable. however, I feel that we will be pulling our support out for survival servers as soon as we can. We have been waiting for 24+ hours now and still unable to login to the server for the first time. Although it may be do to DDoS attacks, the fact that the origins servers are not correctly functioning is a major draw back to us. The admin tools may be nice, but theres no reason to have great admin tools when the server itself doesnt function. I mean that spawning doesnt work, the gender selection doesnt work, and the fact you apparently can not build doesnt work. its not orgins, I have been looking at other orgins servers you guys host and have not yet been able to select my gender, pick a spawn point or build a home. I realize that you all been under stress, and been attacked 7 times or more in the past 2 days. But it is unacceptable as a customer, tickets are not being responded to, and status updates are next to impossible. Ive been looking at this thread all day, the twitter, your fourms, and nothing. I tried to give you guys the benefit of the doubt but at the same time nothing is being done. its unfortunate that someone who is willing to offer so much is offering much less than expectations presented. When I see that you offer fast services, admin tools, and orgins. I expect to get excatly that and we haven't. We haven't stepped foot in our server, or had the time to test our tools. The severs out there will not allow you to select a gender or spawn point, and building homes is non existant. It's not right, weather you got offical server files or leaked ones, it doesn't matter. most of all it should be functional and right now it is not. I for one am extremely disapointed.

I love DDOS, cute little kids running their scrips because the got maad :( so they think thier cool and ruining it for everyone else.

Is there any update on when we can expect the web server to be back on line? Interesed in looking into getting a server but I cant get to the site.

My current in game settings are as follows: Visibility: 2400 Brightness: 1.0 Gamma: 1.0 Texture Detail: normal Video Memory: Default Anisotropic Filtering: normal Antialising: normal ATOC: disabled Terrain Detail: normal Object Detail: normal Shadow Detail: High HDR Quality: normal PPAA: disabled Postprocess Effects: disabled Vsync: disabled Interface resolution: 1680x1050 3D resolution: 1680X1050 I hope this helps, currently I am still getting 10 to 20 frames or less while running of a ram disk

Hey Guys, Im looking for some help with my FPS. Now I've been reading around google and here on the forums. Ive came across many different sugguestions and even read a few here. I hate to be that broken record but I dont know what else I can do to make the game playable. So here's the details and I hope maybe someone can help me out. Before running the optimizations I found here with this link: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/38865-how-to-increase-fpssmooth-out-the-game/ I was getting about 20 Frames in the middle of no where, then about 8 to 12 in the main cities. If I entered a city my frames drop that low then hold there untill I close the game out and come back in. After the optimizations im still getting the same issues. only now i am getting about 25 frames in the middle of no where, and 10 to 12 in major cities. It makes no sense to me at all because my system isn't horrible and runs many other games like a dream. These are my specs: AMD Phenom 9950 Black Edition 2.6Ghz Quad-Core 8GB of RAM GeForce GTX 550Ti with 1GB of Ram, 22inch Widescreen monitor at 1680X1050 Res 16:9 wide. 320GB SATA 3.0/GBs HDD and windows 7 ultimate x64 Ive tried it all, and tryed the config file edits. Is there anything at all I can do to get this working? I know my brother has a close setup to mine with the same video card and hes able to get 50 frames no problem with max settings. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.
