OT: There are several issues here that frustrate the hell out of me: 1: Zombies have this weird ability to spot you a billion miles away, regardless of how well you think you're hidden. 2: Infections are an absolute bitch, there should be more ways to address them. I'm not talking a flat out cure, but at least something to prevent it from spreading for a bit prolonging your life expectancy so you have a higher chance of finding meds. 3: Anti-biotics are still way too rare, regardless of how you try and spin it. 4: This is a minor one, but still one that irritates the hell out of me every time I go to a hospital. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT GLASS MADE OUT OF? I've pretty much stopped playing because of this. I play almost exclusively as a lone wolf and I'm rubbish at this game, which means that my life expectancy went from almost nothing, to zilch the second I get infected. That and the diminishing returns on blood from food, and the blood-over-time thing. I'm not blaming the game or the devs at all, I could adapt and learn to survive like this, but I'm too impatient.

Applejaxc - pretty much what DD said. If you MUST have a laptop. then buy a more basic model for a few hundred dollars and spend the rest of building a proper PC. I just assembled a PC for a friend for just over $700 including P&P which would blow both those laptops out the water. If however you must have a laptop, then the MSI will walk all over the Toshiba all day long.

3770. 16gb is overkill but if you can spare it, go for it. I'd expect 40fps minimum, maxed out in the most populated areas with those components.

As I said, at medium to high settings, you'll get decent FPS. As said above, ARMA is horribly optimized. At medium you're looking at 50-60 in the bush and 40ish in cities. High, take 10fps off for each. Very high? Well, the bush will be your friend. Cities won;t ;)

I'm rocking exactly the same setup, but with a 6950. I can max the game out at either very high or high depending on whether I'm recording or not, and where I am on the map.

What? Are you insane? I think you must've read it wrong. It doesn't say 5770, it says 5570. Fifty. Five. Seventy. This won't run the game on medium, forgettaboudit. The maximum that cpu can handle is 1333mhz ram too. It'll run, badly.

For me, end game involves finding a hatchet.
