Good idea, I like it and would've benefited from this big time last week. However, most people here aren't interested in ARMA and buy the bare minimum to allow them to play Dayz. I doubt many have the BAF pack, some even want to run the demo...

This won't be Call of Duty, in that the console folks get first pickings and the leftovers get ported to PC. this will in fact be the other way around, much like Minecraft. I can't see it being an issue, at the end of the day the devs need to make money to keep this project viable and the console market is way too big to leave out.

I've been playing mostly on private hives lately but the community on them is generally very friendly which isn't a bad thing, but I've also been wanting to experience the more hostile side of the game. For this reason I've been trying to join public servers but I keep getting kicked. I've been kicked for eating / drinking (can#t remember the exact code but that's what Google returned), to simply getting kicked without reason. Every time I end up joining a private hive I end up playing with some folks who, kind as they are, always make the game much easier as they're more often than not kitted out in good gear and I often find myself refusing guns and whatnot. Is there a list of decent public servers I can join? I've tried about 15 in total now and every one of them has kicked me for some reason. Also, I know that pubs are persistent, but are there "groups" of private hives that are persistent or are they all "standalone"? Cheers!

Cheers folks, I'll look into your servers. The reason I just want to roll solo for a bit is that I'm still new to the game and I've always had someone doing the dirty work for me so I need to get my hands on a decent weapon and practice with it (I know I can do this in ARMA but I lasted about 3 missions of that and haven't looked back).

A mac nowadays is nothing more than a ridiculously overpriced PC which looks cool and has the "cool" appeal that Apple fans are willing to spunk shitloads of unnecessary cash on nowadays. They're good for media applications and truth be told I can't stop drooling every time I see one of their monitors doing it's demo thing on a shop floor. Gaming? No. //A bit off topic, but years ago I built a gaming PC, I think it was a Pentium 266mhz or something, when a colleague bought a Mac. Naturally we had the PC vs Mac debate which resulted in him asking "name one thing your PC can do that my Mac can't". I replied "Right click". I don't know if Macs still only have one mouse button but that shut him right up there and then.
