I really need to start playing a little more aggressive. 98% of the people I meet shoot me straight away. The only people I've met who are friendly are fresh spawns who have no weapon. I try to avoid players or give them a chance and then bam, I'm dead. Problem is I'm horrible in combat at this game, I don't want to play as a bandit but maybe I should. I need to be able to defend myself seeing that everyone else is trying to kill me. Either way I think I may need to switch up my play style a bit.

I was wondering if there is a way to keep shooting while moving? Whenever I move it wants to lower the weapon, unless its aiming down sights (right click) I've seen in vids where the people are moving back and forth while shooting.

I'm not sure what I mean really. I guess a sort of hip firing while moving back and forth. Basically firing while not ads'ing doesn't seem to work very well although I've seen people do it on videos. I'm not even sure I'm making any sense. ha.

Is there a reason I can't find the server when I search it on dayz commander?

When you get killed and you are on the: you are dead screen should your blood read 0? I've heard if your blood doesn't drop and you die it could be a hacker but im not sure if you're supposed to notice it when you are being shot or when you are on the death screen. I've been killed a few times where on the death screen my blood still reads normal but honestly I haven't noticed if it's always like that.

I came upon this camp in a server I've been playing on a bit. It had bunch of spots that had camo material around them, and in these spots had lots of supplies and ammo and lots of tires and parts. Had about ten or more backpacks and a bunch of tents. Basically anything you needed. These supplies were floating. I've never seen anything like this before. Before I found this area I also seen a heli flying around with a truck floating above it. I logged out and when I came back the next day it was all still there. I can't imagine it's legit, but perhaps that server sets up these spots?

Hey, I just installed a new GTX 660 ti and apparently it's disabled my onboard audio or so it seems. What I could find on the internet points to this. I can't seem to find a way to enable it. Any ideas? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks. I actually fixed the problem. I'm not sure how but it's fixed. Dayz is now running really great. Can't believe how much smoother it is from my last card.

A couple of times I've come across a larger backpack. I choose take pack and then the weapon I had stored in the original backpack is nowhere to be found. Am I doing something wrong? Am I supposed to open the new backpack first and transfer items over then pick it up? I normally just chose take backpack because it's quicker but I think I must be doing something wrong because items are disappearing. Thanks.

One thing I love about this game is the forums aren't full of hate like a lot of other games I've played. It's a nice change. A lot of helpful people.

I was wondering where most people go? Do most just stick around the main cities? I've been traveling all over today and I rarely ever see anyone. I find myself getting too comfortable because im not expecting to see anyone.

what I mean is I've travelled all over the dam place today and I never see anyone so I wondered if a lot of people stay around cherno and elektro because I tend not to stick around there too long. a lot of time i'm not even trying to hide because im not expecting to see anyone. Not that I want to go around killing everyone but it's nice to know how to protect yourself. I tend to die pretty quick when people come. They either shoot me on site or they complain if I fire first. Not even sure how to engage people anymore because if been lied to already and im pretty new. Can't trust anyone I guess.

I've never played a game like this before where I actually feel like i'm fighting to stay alive.

I was driving around in a boat in the rain today and my temp came down. Got to Skalisity island and had to make a fire.

Hey, quick question. Is using group chat the same thing as using the side chat? I'm confused if you are in a server that doesn't allow side chat if there is another way to talk to someone close to you. What I've read makes me think there is a difference. Like using group chat just works for people close to you and side chat goes to everyone on the server. Am I completely wrong here? Thanks.

Ya. Agreed. Thanks a lot. That will come in handy when trying to talk to people trying to kill me, which is everyone.

Oh, ok sweet. So even on the servers that don't allow side chat you can still talk to someone close to you with direct chat.

I'm wondering if there is a certain way to log off properly? I don't seem to keep my gear when I leave a server and join another one. I know there are public and private servers which will affect it so maybe that's where I'm going wrong.
