Fixed: reinstalled 444 beta patch then 700 all good.

Thanks for the help but the problem still persists. Actions taken: run dayz through steam and desktop, re installed game, audio drivers and beta patches, Arma11 also has no sound in any of the versions but my counterstrike does. tried many servers and re installed dayz . in the reinstall is there a config file that does not get updated in a uninstall - reintall of the game.. maybe in my player profiles? Game type bought via Steam Arma 2 patch 700 starting game either by steam or arma11 beta desktop icon error is no sound in game, has been working for the last month.. PC specs...dual core 3.2, quick graphics..basically no dramas running game before...no sound card using mobo O/S XP link fails.. thanks in advance Kaffine

Hey Survivors / Clan members I've been playing Dayz for just over a week now and the most fun has been in pairs or groups as well increased survivorbility, so I'm lookin for a fun, semi rpg group to get involved with TAG: Kaffine..use this everywhere Location: Perth W.A. Greeting hunters I'm devising an idea to go through town by town and rid this undead blight from the land. The larger cities are over run by gangs so my intention it to clear other areas of the damned first and then move to the cities for either supplies and the final cleansing.. I normally reside in the ANZ 1.6 worlds please contact me with interest, experience is not required but will be improved. I can be reached here on these notice boards or on the field. I've become both cautious and untrusting of others so please convey you friendship before approaching. So at the end of Dayz we will resort to cities run by Neanderthal gangs, who eventually fight each other until there is only one gang, and this one gang will want more so they will travel to other places and fight them..sound familiar. maybe they should change the name to SIMS (Dayz). I think this is a true mirror of society, kill or be killed isn't this what Darwin discoverd. Even though we know there is a common enemy out there we fight each other, no one has decided to rally together and just take on the zombies one town at a time..I wonder what would happen if one server turned off Zombie respawn and if you got killed in any way you could not log back on and see at the end if the zombies win..Or if there is one person left on a tower by themselves king of the world, as lonely as it may be.. my 2 cents

Hey Folks When I finally join a server after I get past the 'LOGGING' screen eventually I'm now encountering the you are running the wrong version error. I'm in the game, can see the trees infront of me but I can't move and I get the faint message on screen about using the wrong version. The server screen says 1.60 for the server and thats the version I uploaded so I'm not sure what the issue is how to fix it.
