G'day all. In short, I used to be a regular player mid-last year. As a lover of the genre and open-world games, I wound up overseas working for six months looking forward to returning to my fiancé, my dog and DayZ - in that order. Armed with a brand new laptop to ward against the depression of being home to smaller paychecks again, I booted up DayZ but found my character resetting depending on the server. Late last night - my first spawn in a long long time, after a few hours I end up fairly well decked out from scavenging and bandit corpses, so I find myself a quiet corner and log out. This morning I try again, and I've lost all my gear and appeared miles from where I logged out, but haven't died. Thinking it's a server error, I try a third server - now I'm in a third location on the coast, standard starting gear, but inexplicably have a Makarov like how it was last year. Try a fourth server and I'm right there outside Elektro where I originally logged out with all my kit again. Are admins now just toying with the server settings more often? I have a feeling this may be the case (though it's good to see so many servers up now, especially in Australia). Two of the spawn points were also a bit away from any coastline - is this the norm now, or has that server admin just edited the spawn points closer to cities? Cheers.
