    Xbox 360 controller compatible?

It's entirely possible to map a TON of stuff to a controller, technically it would require a @-type mod to get most functions mapped into a GUI but it wouldn't be difficult.

    Play as zombie

I imagine in a retail release of DayZ there will be a TvT gamemode not unlike Humans vs. Zombies.

    Map shouldn't be zoomable.

The map functions exactly as it does in regular Arma, in fact since we're playing on Veteran you're lacking a LOT of information that pops up on it.

    Player Journals

This has been done in missions such as MSO, so it's very possible and not that difficult to implement. Perhaps as an extension to the OP, have it automatically log certain instances, like say "I found a M4A1 today" or "Got bit, luckily had a bandage and patched myself up quickly."

    The Ban TS3 thread!

    1. No, in the end we're talking about a game and there is a point where the "realism" gets out of hand. Besides how realistic are zombies to begin with? ;) 2. If you really must insist on it, why not instead utilize TS3 with in-game comms with the ACRE mod? In essence it works with TS to provide some very accurate comms, and maybe add another element of survival (find a radio and try calling for other friendly humans).
  6. It fudges the gameplay quite a bit, but short of using a true island there's no real way to enforce any restrictions on it.

PKP in DAYZ cheat or legal?

My opinion is this: Without a clear list of what is spawning in the game, we have no method of determining what weapon is "legal" and what is "illegal". Other than forcing a server-side weapon blacklist (where if you pick up a weapon and if the server says it's not allowed then it deletes it off of you), any weapon you find I think is playable. Unless of course it's a obvious cheat like the GAU-8 off of the A-10 or the actual plane itself, in which case stick it back on the corpse and bury the fool with it. So, If you find it on a corpse. Consider yourself lucky and hope you can find ammo for it. If you somehow kill a hacker and you can take his hacked-in weapon (besides the GAU-8, obviously), congrats! You now have a trophy of your encounter!
  8. Funny thing is: BIS are specialists at the indie release, so I trust that they'll be able to get a game like DayZ to market without having to give into a big-name publisher and compromise what makes DayZ good. It is also a known fact that DayZ has immensely helped drive Arma 2 sales to all-time highs, this in essence has made DayZ work like a kickstarter project and helped fund BIS for Arma 3 development. which in turn probably makes a retail copy of DayZ with A3's engine all the better.
