Pretty sure that was a date, not a co-ordinate.

You seriously disconnect over ONE zombie chasing you? My god.

Definitely would help when choosing which target to shoot first. Now you can see his backup weapon as well. +1

Well the copying keys is almost necessary for groups of people. Actually I like the '1 set' of keys suggestion. It makes planning a bit more involved for us when doing a vehicular raid etc. If you are going to make it harder for one half of the equation, might as well do it for both...

What are clans and how do you manage/make them?
SystemiK replied to VoidRaizer's topic in New Player Discussion
So far, rocket has mentioned using armbands as some kind of a faction indicator. He did not elaborate on that so it's anybodys guess what he has in mind. -
@ LVG In the future, could you PLEASE suggest the Nametags option along with the others. I simply refuse to play on servers which enable nametags but very few servers include this info in the server name. "Hello. My name is ____________" "I am currently XXX distance from the barrel of your gun." "I know you can't actually see me, I'm over here behind the rock. No not THAT rock, this one over here \o/" It's completely ridiculous to have nametags in a setting such as DayZ. Please encourage people to turn it off (or at the very least mention the server Nametag setting in the server name). Thanks SK

By this I assume you mean he logs out, joins an empty server, repositions, and then logs back in?

So how do tents work exactly now?
SystemiK replied to phisher34's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
It's because Rocket wants this game to be brutal and he wants it to 'piss you off' from time to time. So far it's working. -

Yes, you can make subtle movements with your backpack inventory open. By spam, what people mean is simply keep trying it, i.e. you do not need to open your inventory each time you try. -
PVP Suggestion: an item to trick an enemy. (decoy aid)
SystemiK replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Ummmmmm........could you say what you just said again, only this time try to make some kind of sense? -
That would require new animations as well as new code added to the Arma Engine. You DO realize this is a Mod....right?
-
Seems like quite a lot of coding / testing would be needed to accomplish this. All to shave a few seconds off of an action. Sorry, but considering that there are only a few people actually coding this mod, I think there are many other things to focus on that would add much more to the game than shaving of 15 seconds here, a minute there etc.

Remove peripheral dots - Enforce server difficulty settings
SystemiK replied to Bo0G's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Yeah, I realize that there are way too many to list. What I mean is the few that most people are focused on. 3rd person / Reticle / Name tags / etc. Personally, I can give or take any of the settings with the exception of Nametags on. I simply REFUSE to play on any server with that shit turned on. "HELLO - My Name Is ______________" "My range from the barrel of your gun is XXX" " I know you can't see me, I'm behind this rock. No not that rock....over here \o/ " Just stupid and has no place whatsoever in this game. -
HOW DO I STOP INFECTION? HELP ASAP
SystemiK replied to JackPearce95's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Speaking of epidemic' date=' I thought this was really interesting.... From the PC Gamer interview: -
My only problem with it is anytime I hear talk of dogs in dayz, I think "oh god, here we go again with the WOW pets." I'll probably get over it at some point...

Remove peripheral dots - Enforce server difficulty settings
SystemiK replied to Bo0G's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Still, I think rather than limit server admins to three options, it's better to just do away with the difficulty categories altogether and just enforce that server names must indicate which settings are on/off. This allows for the greatest possible variety for people to choose how they wish to play, while making sure it is simple to see which servers are using what settings. -
Appeal to server admins. Re: Server names / name tag settings
SystemiK posted a topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Given the flexibility that admins have as far as difficulty settings, it seems that labels such as Regular / Veteran / Expert dont really have any meaning as they are all a random mix of settings. What I rarely find in a server name (and what I look for in a server) is whether or not name tags are on or off. There are a few that include this in the server name but not many at all. Of all the settings, this one is the clincher for me. Please consider including your nametag setting in the server name so that those of us who wish to play a realistic game where we can't see a characters name throuhg a building behind trees from across a field can more easily find a server which does not tolerate such silliness. I absolutely refuse to play on a nametag server, but it is rough finding one when most servers do not indicate which setting they use. Thanks. -
Appeal to server admins. Re: Server names / name tag settings
SystemiK replied to SystemiK's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Makes sense. As it stands, reg /vet / exp mean nothing since all settings are interchangible between them. Weeks ago, there was a lot of inititive between the server admins and the devs to reach some kind of naming convention but since then it seems like everyone just gave up out of frustration in reaching an agreement on how it should be done. -
Remove peripheral dots - Enforce server difficulty settings
SystemiK replied to Bo0G's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Well BoOg, that's really a problem with the servers and the way they designate difficulty settings. The problem as it stands, is that each server chooses a difficulty setting to use, but then EVERY variable can be chosen independently. So you can have a Regular server which has all expert settings, or you could have an Expert server which is using all Regular settings. I've seen a bunch of Veteran servers with 3dp and crosshairs turned on.... The REG / VET / EXP designations are only meaningful if the admin left the settings at default. On one hand, it's great that server admins have many options. On the other it just means a giant clusterfuck of servers with random settings and no easy way to differentiate them. -
Rocket has already mentioned including some kind of dog mechanic a couple of times. Sounds like he is already working on something along these lines. Personally I'm not sure I like the idea, but I'm willing to give it a chance.

I'm pretty sure you will only find this on Regular servers. Try Veteran or Expert if you dont like this. -
New, Better Storage - Easy Possibilities

Shit. I had not noticed that the quote I posted was from the end of April. You may be right....which would suck. Was really looking forward to this. -
Believe it or not, this has been suggested more than once.....
