Heh...the plot thickens...

Look at it this way, using Six Updater is like driving the space shuttle down to the store for groceries. DayZ Commander is like having your groceries delivered. To be fair, Six Updater is the best choice for updating Arma 2 when you have 20 mods installed, but it is needlessly complicated and over built if all you want to do is manage your dayz directory and get the latest arma beta patch.

Download DayZ commander at http://www.dayzcommander.com and add him as a friend. You should be able to see his server name if he is online.

Seems like a lot of people have been getting this after updating to 1.7.2.5 A good idea is to backup your addons folder so you can easily roll back if a dayz update goes south (which is more common than not)

Sucks. But I guess you can take console in the fact that not every life in dayz will end in a way which is worth mentioning...at least you have a good story to tell (if nothing else).

Dropping items is luck of the draw. Sometimes the world sucks them in, other times they will land on the floor. Mostly in buildings, on structures like deerstands etc is were the problems happen. If you drop it on a road it is usually safe but not always. I've never lost a pack when putting on other clothing, may be that I've just been lucky.... Edit: the safest way I have found to put down an item is to open an existing loot pile and then drop the item into the other loot, this is very safe. Dropping something in another random spot is risky.

The safe way is to first transfer all the items from the pack you are wearing into the pack you have found. THEN take the new pack. Sometimes if there is other loot near the new pack you will not even get an option to pick up the pack or interact with it because the other loot is "bugging" out the pack. you can fix this problem by removing all the other loot until the pack is the las item left. MOST of the time this will work, occasionally even this will not work.

When the trees and grass end at the "line" you are "off the map" but the world continues on for a long distance (to provide a large enough space to accommodate the jets in the base game). 3. Just some food for thought.....I've read that it took a team of Bohemia devs an entire year to make Chernarus. I'd imagine that any original map content will not be available for quite awhile. existing maps are much more likely to be included once they figure out some type of mechanic to make use of them.

Just leave something useless in there (like an empty tin can) nobody is gonna pick that shit up when they are trying to fill a backpack to the max. If the can is gone it's a pretty good indicator that you got bugged out.

Honestly, it's worth the price of Arma 2 just to play one single mod called Namalsk Crisis (http://www.nightstal...en_index_nc.php ) and keep in mind this is only ONE mod for the base game. Couple of clips for Namalsk Crisis below:

If you consider a few pretty screenshots to be polished then whatever. In general, polished refers to how well a game plays and feels, how much effort has been put into making everything perfect. In the case of WarZ there is no game play to judge. Until we can see some actual gameplay and some people have had "hands on", polished is just a pipedream.

Just had this on my home server 2 days ago as well. Went from 60 to 12. I just joined another server and all was well, the next day my home server was back to normal.

Been there. Done that. Was equally gutted.

Bohemia (and I would assume rocket as well) are going to be attending GamesCon next week. I would imagine they will have a shitload of information to share with us at that time....
