Nah, I downloaded the 80Mb PNG and printed it on a Roland Versa UV printer at work. It was printed on glossy white vinyl which looks amazing and also makes it so you can use wet erase markers to mark it up all you want but easily erase with a damp cloth. That version of the map added unique annotations and was created by a guy who goes by MaxAnder here on the forums. I cant remember for sure, but as I recall, if you printed out the file at actual size it would be something like 20 x 30 feet!

Yeah, 4' x 5'. It was very useful for keeping track of all of my secret spots and server names (as well as a hell of a lot of other peoples "not so secret" spots) which is why I stood so far back to take the picture.

Are you sure about that? I could have sworn only 29% of the map was being used in the current state, was that 30% in the stable or experimental version? :rolleyes:

Heh....I've got a 4 x 5 foot map that's been hanging in my house for several years now, some of you might even recognize the location :P That map and a set of wet erase markers were invaluable back in the days of tents and multiple hives. It never proved to be particularly useful during game-play, but it sure was nice for keeping track of my tent strings (and bandit camps) across multiple hives.

Two of the experimental branch servers I was in tonight were running 50 slots...

Sometime between now and release, they will roll out private servers / hives. At that time, you can rent your own server and replace all the weapons with rainbows, paintbrushes and kaleidoscopes. In the meantime, you're gonna need to keep your head down, think fast, and move quickly...

Just some clarification for the OP, The experimental branch (more or less a patch candidate) is released as a separate branch of the game. You can choose to play the new branch (with all of it's associated game changes) or you can choose to play the current version (and you can even play them both). After several days of testing and evaluation, the experimental branch (or a modified version of it) will become the new current version of the alpha.

Running DayZ release 1.7.2.3 / 94876 Played for 6 or 7 hours last night with no issues whatsoever. Logged into the same server this afternoon but I'm either getting a BattlEye kick from lobby or occasionaly, shortly after loading into the game. The message varies between kicked for battleye either not responding or failed to update. I have manually updated my BattlEye Client (as suggested in their FAQ) to V1.1 - V1.60 (v1.61.94945+ was also available but seemed to indicate being for a higher version beta pacth than I am currently running). At this point I'm not sure what else to try, any suggestions would be appreciated. Could this be a server side issue by any chance?

Been searching high and low for the highest resolution chernaurus map available, finally came up with an extremely hi res version (17454 x 14626 @ 81MB) I really didnt want a loot map, but I suppose beggars cant be choosers. This map is going to be printed at roughly 4' x 5' on white panaflex and finished with an automotive graphic quality laminate (I have access to a $30,000 printer at work, really stoked to see how this turns out). Install DayZ Commander and update it. It will download and install any or all of the new maps for you.

Just log in and then go do something else for awhile. In a hour or so your character should starve to death and die. Kinda sucks but it works....

A new release of DayZ Commander is available which adds support for the new DayZ Fallujah map. For any that have had problems installing the map themselves, hopefully this will help them get it installed and running, (not sure if it will take care of the Arma 2 OA "Expansion" settings or not) that may still need to be done manually.
