Except that I was walking through thick grass, on the other side of a grove of trees. 3. I clicked "climb down" on the ladder, the animation plays, then I fall and break my bones. 4. Waiting on 1.7.2. This game went from a hardcore survival game to a death simulator. Crouch walking, getting spotted at 100m by a walker, having to run 2km and enter a small room is getting incredibly old. Especially when you have to do it for every single area you enter.

If you have nothing to say, just get the fuck out. 5 stars for the OP. There is a difference between a fairly easy game (what it was), a fun challenge (what I thought it would be), and he frustration equivelant of having 5 exams on the same day. I haven't died this patch yet because I had a Revolver and 870 MCS before I logged out last, but I look at the chat. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. The zeds were getting a buff, items were going to be rarer, problems were going to be patched. That would have been perfect. But all the "hardcore" gamers who want a badassery badge have made the game borderline inaccessible by making sure that we start with nothing on spawn. Their argument was "but people won't kill eachother on the beach anymore". That is a survival lesson people need to learn, and the lesson is to GO NORTH FIRST. I'll say it for the tenth time and counting: Difficulty =/= Realism =/= Gameplay. They do not equal eachother and they do not scale. -

It needs a sight, and arrows should be stored in quivers instead of singular bolts. 5 bolts per quiver?

The Huey has 2 weapons, 5 spawn locations, rarity of 3 per server, and is easier to use. Why would the An-2 only have 1 spawn location with a <1% chance to spawn? Considering the difficulty of building, maintaining, and flying it, I think 3 per server is more than fair enough.

Has this happened to anyone else yet? I have heard stories of it before. I was playing on Canada 1, and a hacker managed to kill 50 players in 1 strike, and I didn't even have time to Alt + F4 or DC.

How is accepting a completely unfair death from a hacker "being a man"? My body is 8km from my spawn point. I don't think so.

Realism Thoughts - Do People Fear It? (Added Realism Lets Play)

ARMA II is one of those games that is "harder then life", something alot of sims suffer from. Armor isn't properly modelled, but bullets are, therefore causing more damage then they actually might in a real scenario. The movement is awkward, aiming is clunky (clunky =/= realistic, weighty = realistic) and the amount of stances one can take are limited in comparison to life. The FOV in the game is around 60, when in IRL you can pick up movement 100 degrees from your face. And of course, keyboards are not as fluid as being in control of a body. People are under the assumption that to simulate something is to make it as difficult as possible. People want difficulty "for realism". But the game is already harder then it would be IRL in some areas (aiming/movement/stealth/communication/hunger), so there should be some compromises in other areas to balance things out, to make it as difficult as the real thing. This is why I'm oppose to spawning without protection, or tripling the size of zombie hordes. TL;DR Realism =/= Difficulty Difficulty =/= Better Gameplay -
As suggested before, if this was added in a later patch (seeing as this hasn't gotten a negative reply yet, highly likely), I think having a parachute item come with it would be cool. It goes inside your backpack and takes up 5 slots. When you use the "eject" option while inside an aircraft, it will deploy and you will sail safely to the ground. Having 5 of these spawn inside a Colt and 3 in a Huey, as well as a very rare chance of finding one in a hangar, would be sufficient. I gotta say, after playing around with these in the armory, 1st person only servers are going to be hell for pilots without TrackIR. The nose cowling is so big you can't see what is in front of you, and you sit very low in the seat. Maybe having the view raised would be nice?

People told me I'd loose my spirit when I joined the Air Force at 17. They said the same thing when I re-enlisted in the Army at 28. Again when I had to redo all my officer training as part of it. Again when I got sent on exchange to redo (again) officer training in singapore with 18 year old. They are saying it again now. Completely off topic for the moment. How would 'rate' your experience in the Air Force? I have been taking flying lessons since I turned 15, and I have racked up 70 hours in the Cessna. I wanted to join the Air Cadets, and my only reasoning not to go is because I would HATE shaving my head. I was hoping to be a tactical airlift or SAR pilot in the CAF, which is a notch above the USAF in terms of training. -

I've tried both playstyles. I have lived 5 days as a both a bandit and as a survivor. Being a bandit is tremendously easier, even though in real situation everyone would be too scared of a gunfight and would likely seek unity. Every time a completely understandable suggestion thread regarding this is made, all the griefers and leet beanbandits rush in and yell "why the fuck should I be penalized for killing people, learn to play you pussy ass carebear". Maybe because we are already being punished for roleplaying somebody with humanity left in them, and you aren't? -

60$ one-time purchase with nothing after that. I don't like microtransaction or monthly payment models and I certainly don't like "Free 2 Play Pay 2 Win". Just give me my game for a hefty fine, and then let me play it as long as I want.

You have to "ban" Mumble, Teamspeak, Steamchat, XFire, and about 25 other voicechat applications. This may be a problem. Direct chat doesn't even work, and using Sidechat is definetly not cool. Currently they are the only option of proper communication (typing is slow).

It's crap. People try to tell me how useful they are because they are silent and have common ammunition. They say I'm crap and I just can't aim. No, sorry, the Crossbow just sucks big throbbing cock. You can't possibly defend it beyond the noise level, really. The Makarov is twice as good.
