Totally agree the thing is everyone is so hyped/pumped up all they do is make a beeline for either the cities or NWAF just to find medium to high end gear forgetting that food/drink are the important essentials first and found just about anywhere.

It would be a nice addition to be able to do little things like this, even us nomadic players need a place to rest once in a while :)

I'm exactly the same, i will always be a nomad player doing this even in the Stand Alone bases just don't do it for me, but each to their own.

Now that would make a great name for a town. On topic yes some gore would be nice or just blood trails, or body bags that have been torn with an arm or leg hanging out, so many possibilities.

That's a bit harsh i wouldn't call it cheating, he just had the pants scared off of him and panicked, iv'e been close to doing that when i first started.

To be honest, only ever been in elektro or Cherno 3 times, me i head straight up the west side Zeleno to pustoshka (thats 2 supermarkets full of loot) also 6 deerstands and quite a few barns enough to gear up fully, plus the Heli crash sites if im lucky, If i spawn om the east side or city outskirts i either go straight up the right through Solinichy to Berezino or north through the middle of the map.

Or a form of strip poker, your backpacks and content/ guns as money.

Took a long hike approx 10000 metres to green mountain, managed to kill most of the zeds there, opened door of the tower it opened and broke my leg,(low on food/drink and no morphine) tried to make the crawl to Zelenogorsk got 2 thirds of the way there and died.

step 3 bound hands and legs to a pole, shove an apple in the mouth roast on an open fire :D

Or you can just learn to avoid the infected zombies, end result you don't need to hide in a bush and wait to die.

Never killed anyone in Day Z and have no intention of doing so.

Iv'e always regarded zombies as something to fear and watch out for from day 1 of playing this game, other players are the supporting cast/secondary problem to me, this patch has made it way better and more fun, more paranoia more challenging especially on servers i play that have 0 starting gear or just flares and a bandage.

We already have wild boars in the game, just make them aggressive towards humans and Zombies, snakes are a good shout as well.

That's what iv'e always done, on the very rare occasions i make contact, i end up dead, so i keep myself to myself at all times. And i still haven't killed anyone in this game.

And since the update iv'e been infected only once, don't run around be cautious,think twice before you do anything the zombies are/should be the main threat in Day Z, this update has made them so,

This is good advice get out there into chernarus and learn for yourself it's the only way to A] learn to play and B] to find your playstyle what you are good at.

Not all of us survivor/hero types think like that, i think stereotyping a group or brandishing every bandit with the same brush is stupid and is/has a negative effect on the game, for me it doesn't ruin the game it is an integral part of Day Z and surviving. My only complaint about bandits or some is the lack of inventivness i wish bandits would do things a little different, see most i come across will just shoot on sight no matter what. For you bandits out there do fun inventive /sick stuff to make it more enjoyable for yourselves and the victims, strange i know but here are some idea's' 1] kidnap and take said victim to cherno/elektro break his leg and leave him there with nothing(let the zeds do the killing) 2] as above but take victim to the middle of nowhere then break his leg leave him 3] Rob him of all his stuff, then make him do stupid stuff 4] Rob him then make him loot for you then kill him 5] force him to kill an other player/survivor on the promise you will let him go, then once he's done it kill him. 6] go on a man hunt pick a victim follow him where ever he goes, kill zeds near him. make him paranoid, then at a moment of choosing kill him. i have many more idea's, sadly i never do them, i'm a non killer and have yet never killed anyone in 300+ hours, so Bandits get out there do sick/inventive stuff, instead of the boring stuff.

I probably play this game way different to most who do play it, in the sense of not killing anyone i have now played for approx 250 hours (i know not along time) as of yet i haven't killed a single person in Day Z. Now i get alot of stick for this, I spend my playtime surviving in (what i call) the purest way ie: in the least populated area's or should i say furthest reaches of the map, just me and the basics, i see the Zombies as my biggest threat. If i happen to spot another player then i'm out of there like a shot i go in the opposite direction, i never make contact, on rare occasions i follow said person just to see where they go. I like the paranoia of being alone wondering if i will ever see another or knowing that others are out there, am i being watched or hunted, it gives me a thrill like no other game can Iv'e been in Elektro only 3 times and in Cherno twice NWAF twice and NEAF once and Balota 3 times in those 250 hours played i avoid P v P at all costs, i'm not good at it and i will admit that, maybe i don't like killing other people i seem to enjoy playing a more passive role. so to those out there is it wrong of me to play like this, and could any of you play the same way as i do.

Not if you stick to the tree line/wooded area above the coast all the way, you won't bump/come across any zombies, until you reach cherno,As for balota just go above it through the trees, i don't bother looting anything until cherno or the odd barn on the way. No zombie contact hence no infection.

There doesn't need to be a main goal there already is one Survival by any means possible, the latest patch has bumped it even further, as for the only thing to do is kill others then that's the story you write in the game, me in 300 odd hours have never killed anyone yet, and i don't intend on changing that. The game is open ended we write our own story whenever we play, that's what seperates this game from every other run of the mill story driven boring game out there.

Zombies should be seen as your main threat in this game above all else,other players are a secondary concern and should be treated that way

Seriously wow! i'm a new player to this game i play nothing but solo(always have done)now i'm on a server that has just flares and a bandage as starting gear, :ie the bare minimum, iv'e always been the loner survivor i saw the zombies as my main threat from day one of playing this game which has taught me to be cautious and adaptable in every situation, i never run in anywhere i always check the area before i go in and then i take the long route so not to get spotted or aggro zeds(but it happens). This patch has made the game harder and making the Zombies as your main threat(that's how it's supposed to be) other players are a secondary concern and always has been to me,(never killed anyone yet) If you get bit before finding food/drink then you are doing something wrong, i can get from Komarovo to Cherno without getting bit and that's with no supplies on me. iv'e been close to death several times managed to find food/drink, but iv'e only been infected once since the patch, was on my last legs and i managed to find some Anti's. Day Z is Brutal Hard and well lets say a lesson in adapting to everything that is thrown at you.

yeah it does, my ingame name is Crazy Jack, and that's why this game is so good (you can't imagine playing without killing i can't imagine playing to go killing or just to kill people)
