In one of the SA video's they showed the extra area's of cherno/elektro with high rise buildings all enterable. For me it doesn't matter what they are like i rarely visit the cities/towns i stay purely in the wilderness.

Hi just looking to see if there is anyone out there who would like to team up. for some chernarus adventures, and see where it takes us. I play on a Good UK Vanilla server minimum starting gear ie: flares/bandage it has a good population, not into servers with starting gear guns etc etc. but can play on your regular server as well if you have one being able to communicate is a must so i have skype im mature 44 years old but loves to have a laugh as well. i play between 8pm and 2 am GMT, just PM me or leave reply in here i will give my steam id and skype id many thanks Crazy, be back in 10 hours work calling :|

The one i watch the most and subscribed to is Red ReloadedHD, his Day Z videos are fun to watch he has a good group always worth watching.

I use 2 servers One Private with a few players and custom loadout ie: vehicles base building etc etc etc. The second a pure vanilla server(public) with a good population, minimal starting gear bandage and flares, this one i enjoy the most it's day z at it's best and purest.

I play the lone nomadic survivor, keeping my self away from all in the furthest reaches of the map making no contact with anyone, staying away from cities/airfields living with the basic equipment, scavenging for food/drink supplies etc etc etc. Treating the zombies as the only threat in this game, if i see another play i watch from a distance on occasions i follow just to see where they go. but never make contact.It's been enjoyable i make my own survivor stories day to day keeping a mental diary of my tales and travels. this i have enjoyed so much. recently i tried the medic/hero thing loved it,did some rescue missions my sig explains my favourite journey in short. got the skin etc etc. still haven't killed anyone yet in this game. Now my playstyle is the flipside i'm going to have to kill i want to try the bandit side, i won't KoS i will be inventive, including robbing/looting people kidnapping breaking legs etc etc. lets see how i like this.

In a way yes i play in the less travelled area's of the map, i avoid all cities and people unless i'm on a medic mission for someone, i play it as a pure zombie survival game, zombies are my main threat and nothing else players are a secondary concern to me. It's my way of having fun and making my own story.

The game for me is as fresh now as i first played it. Iv'e never done P v P not my thing, i play on a vanilla server with no starting gear, so the thrill of the hunt for food and weapons/gear is heightened to a degree especially with a good population of players. Also the gear is hard to find, that's the fun in it, the zombies are a threat with the infection which i like,it makes me play differently to what i used to. seems to me OP you are just bored with the game.

I'm presuming the $40.00 he mentioned might be that he brought Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation arrowhead just to play Day Z and no intention of playing those 2 games, so in his eyes Day Z cost $40.00 to buy

Yep for people who want to. As of yet in my 300 to 400 hours of playing i haven't killed anyone yet and don't intend to, but one day it will happen it will be a weird feeling for me if i kill someone.

To be honest i don't care about P v P never done it, P v P is not important when i play so i know nothing about that side of the game it does not interest me one bit other non interesting stuff for me is base building something i wont do. as for the SA the zombies will be even stronger and more of a threat in that, than in the mod we play now. im looking forward to the standalone for the upped difficulty.

Well i play on a vanilla server the starting gear is flares and a bandage, so far i have lasted 10 days without getting infected with no high end gear just basics an axe and maybe a winchester if i'm lucky, food and drink are a plenty most zeds have them to loot if you kill them. This update has made me play more cautious and made the zombies a real threat(which is the way it is supposed to be).Avoidance is the key keep a low quiet profile if spotted run like hell to nearest barn or woods they can be avoided or team up with friends or someone else, i play alone but if you play with others then zeds should be handled easily. loot spawns not just in hospitals even non enterable buildings and rubble piles now have loot, found 2 lots of antibiotics this way you just have to search and be careful when you do it. Dont see what the problem is.

Absolutely spot on, same with going into a house say an attic area let us block it off,so i have an area to call my own even for just one to a few days, unless someone finds it and then they would have to have say an axe to break it down(noise would attract zombies), and the amount of enterable buildings in the SA it might be hard to find :) Not all of us are part of clans that have the man power to go out and build bases, some of us don't want to be part of clans, just surviving in a messed up world :D

When your watching Day Z video's on youtube and you press the keys to look behind you when they do it in the video.

Or we are going to have to be more careful not to aggro them, stop find a route around them, or run like hell into woods to avoid them, so far my character is 10 days old, no good gear only basics no antibiotics iv'e been able to avoid wild zeds because i use my eyes and wits and a little bit of panic, and i still haven't been infected or found antibiotics. To be honest i'm loving this update it turns up the difficulty thus making me play more cautious as though my life depends on it.(OH! wait my life does depend on it) and that's how it should be.

Yes i remember my first time, I spawned in at Komarovo, it was dusk i was scared alone had only flares a torch and a bandage all i could hear was zombies the groans and unnerving noises could'nt quite see what was where so with a few nervous steps i was on my way into the wide world of chernarus. Then boom! out of nowhere another player appears (my heart started racing) oh! god is he going to kill i me i thought, then he just flashed his torch at me twice and disappeared into the night, That was my first 10 mins in Day Z, Nervous/Paranoid/alone and loving every minute of it.

I play it as though it's me surviving Hell i just imagine running down the road naked screaming beans over and over while holding a bright red flare(i know iv'e done this ingame haven't i) oh! god i can't remember if it was for real or whilst playing Day Z :( I'll see how the neighbours look at me then i'll know

To be honest i agree with this, the way it is now is great the zombies are more of a threat than they have ever been, that's how iv'e always treated the zombies, they are the main threat to me when i play.

Been looking for somewhere new to play, iv'e been playing on a pure Vanilla server for 95% of my playtime. your sever sounds interesting and fun, is it ok if i check it out, i'm what you call a nomad player never been part of a group, iv'e been just surviving alone in the wilderness.

That's the Karma bit on you, You set a trap for some innocent person, he survives your trap goes wrong and you lose a vehicle on the process. :D

lol it's called Karma, sometimes it pops up in the best places, ha ha ha

have to agree, i play one one Public vanilla server and one Private server, using the side chat is frowned upon in both and rarely used by anyone.

Day Z Commander all the way it's simple to use laid out well easy to navigate.
