I've noticed that sometimes, at a distance of only about 100-150 meters, players show up near completely invisible to me. This occurs only when not zoomed in, but it's still a huge issue when playing the game. The only way I've been able to make out players is a thin outline / white orb that seems to represent their head, as if their bodies are warped in a super low quality state. I was curious if anyone else has had this issue or what graphical setting would make this occur.

There are stripper clips for the Mosin. It's different from a magazine, since people replying can't seem to understand that. It's used to help quickly load the rifle.

All these people wanting taticool modern weaponry are making me physically ill. Adding tons of fully automatic weapons ruin the combat experience.

No. The current codec quality is a lot lower than later versions of the Arma 2 beta. It's probably because of server stability though. Same reason servers are only 40 players.

It's been in the game for a really, really long time. Pretty sure they just added ways to get the infection other than being cold. Your character slowly loses blood. That's all the infection does. You can cure it with antibiotics. You also cough and spread it to anyone who stays near you for too long.

Anyone who plays long enough gets to the realization that having good gear is boring. It's not a challenge, and nothing you find is worth taking. Props to them for restarting.

Never trust people with AS50 TWS' or Ghillies. They're almost garunteed to always be Bandits. If they're out alone with good gear, most likely they don't need, nor want your help. Your mistake was going out into the open and not keeping your gun on at least one of them. As to the people bitcihng about hacked gear, all of them had hacked gear. OP isn't any better or worse because of it. Most people with hacked gear aren't even hackers, it's just been circulating through the hive so much and will continue to until the devs find a way to stop it.

Same thing happened to me on a live server. I'm fine with all the high-end anti-material rifles being removed because they don't really make much sense in a zombie apocalypse. Maybe at most an M24, because it has the ability to zero in, but long range sniping leaves streets open and causes people to hide indoors, limiting interaction.

The game's popularity dying is probably the best thing that's happened to it. I'm not getting shot on sight anymore, and people are actually speaking to me. So far, everyone I've met has been really cool.

Nothing. You do nothing, and that's why I hate it. I held "endgame status" for about a month or two with my clan, and all we did was horde vehicles, kill people on the coast, etc. We were just general bandits to try and find something to do. Ever since the clan just kind of fell apart due to hackers, I haven't had anything, so I decided to help people instead. Honestly, it's more fun than the "endgame". The other day I found a V3S only missing 2 of the middle tires, so I drove it down the coast giving people rides until I got taken out by some Bandit in a lag spike. Plus, the Hero skin is cool. Banditry is lame nowadays.
