Wow that sounds a little bit strange for a FIRST DAY of dayz.. So let me get this straight, on your first time ever playing dayz: - You knew where you spawned, and knew you were heading for Cherno.. - You saw a guy and immediately knew he was repairing a chopper. - You knew that you can open someones backpack to take their gun - You knew how to fly a chopper - You knew how to refill a chopper using jerrycans - While flying a chopper for the first time you manage to land it 4 times at a crash site without crashing the chopper You must be some superdayz talent, because on my first day dayz I couldn't do any of those things even remotely. - You knew where you spawned, and knew you were heading for Cherno.. ( I was completely lost, first time playing with a friend it took hours to find eachother) - You saw a guy and immediately knew he was repairing a chopper. ( First time I came across another player I completely panicked, let alone know that he is repairing a chopper) - You knew that you can open someones backpack to take their gun ( I figured this out after some time, but defenitly not the first time playing dayz) - You knew how to fly a chopper ( lol no idea ) - You knew how to refill a chopper using jerrycans ( also no idea first time) - While flying a chopper for the first time you manage to land it 4 times at a crash site without crashing the chopper ( I crashed crashed crashed the first few choppers I ever had )

It's more that everytime I have the best gear in game, my playstyle changes to playing very carefully to not lose the gear. This and I don't really know what to do with the gear. Helping others just gets you killed. They will shoot you in the back for your gear

So I spawned between Balota and Cherno, wanted to go to the cherno hospital and was running trough the woods along the road in the cherno direction when I see a guy in the distance in the woods running towards me. Since I have no gun I can't shoot him, so I stand behind a tree so he can't shoot me. He stands still and takes a shot at me with what sounded like a dmr. He comes closer and tries a couple of more shots, I see he has a M24. I keep kiting him by using trees between us, he comes closer and closer trying to shoot me but keeps missing. At a certain point we are standing on opposite sides of the same tree, running in circles a little bit. He stands still, so do I. At this point I notice I can open his alice pack trough the tree :D So I open his alice pack, and bingo: M4A1 with mags in his backpack! I take his M4, kill him and got myself a nice M24

Unbind the hold breath button and assign it to a button of your preference. As default hold breath it is the right mouseclick. This is the same button as zooming in when looking. So everytime you are zooming in you are holding your breath, which in turn leads to you catching your breath every 15 seconds like a chimney smoker. If you happen to get in a firefight after zooming in you are always out of breath. I assign holding breath to a different key. I only use it when sniping just before the shot. This way I'm not always out of breath for just looking around

part 1: Spawn in elektro, I hear a car driving into the harbour... I have no gun and decided to follow the car. I didn't know where it went, only saw it driving into the harbour. I guessed it went into the landslide in the water (don't know the name, the driveway into the water) and runned there. Halfway trough I saw the car next to some sort of electricity/industrial building parked. It was a white pickup. I broke line of sight and sneaked to the car. When I was at 20 meters from the car I saw no one was in the car. At this point I was still hidden behind a wall, watching 3rd person to the car. I decided to wait no longer and make a run for it. Running to the car, scrolling like a madman to enter the car and started the engine. I had to go backwards and turn before I could leave. Whilst doing this some idiot noticed his car was getting stolen and starts shooting with a M14/DMR. He misses everything and I drive away. In the gear I found a Lee Enfield with 2 mags, so all in all a nice strat with a good car and a gun! onto part 2

Combining rounds can be done in real life.. Same goes for the car. I wouldn't call them exploits.. I do know exploits, I know how to dupe for example, but that's not something I'm going to post here..

Another one for saving a car: Keep a extra wheel in your inventory. Drive your car somewhere safe, get out and shoot 1 wheel. This way when someone finds the car they can't take it, and when you log back in you just fix the wheel and off you go

Ok here is a usefull tip for DMR mags: When I carry around a DMR/m14 I usually reload after every firefight. This leads to a lot of mags in my inventory with 5-9 bullits in them. Sometimes I run around with 5 half empty mags. The solution to this is to split the mags all into M24 mags, and then combine them again into DMR rounds. Voila: Full DMR rounds and less inventory used!

Now for the bonus part: After I killed the guy, he said in side chat he started recording the chase at some point. Before he started recording I already rammed him a few times, the chase was already going on for quite a while. Enjoy:

part 2: I decided to drive to stary for some guns, on my way to stary I come across another car going in the other direction. Since I was bored I decided to follow him and try to take out. After all my car is a lot faster then his! At this point I didn't know who or how many players were in the car. I catched up pretty quick, and rammed into the car a few times. I thought if I do this often enough, his car will break or he will stop. So this went on for a while, I think I rammed him 4 times in total, missing him now and then driving myself into the grass. After a while he decides to stop, and we went into a firefight. Turns out it was a single ghillie guy. We get into a firefight, and I kill him. Got myself a nice DMR + M14 + NVG + coyote backpack etc etc :D All this happened within half an hour of spawning in electro.
