A little update on my situation. BattlEye replied to our inquiry saying that his GUID was caught hacking and the ban will not be lifted. That's all they said. I know for a fact that he is not a hacker. For BattlEye to say this without even giving more information is just wrong. Everything about our situation is wrong. Obviously, I'm all for banning the people who actually hacked. But my friend doesn't even stand a chance. Sure, I can't prove anything. But to me, this seems extremely unprofessional. He bought the game two weeks back just to try out DayZ. We bought our own sever. We even played the actual campaign and whatnot. He has no reason to hack and never had one. Now, he's globally banned for basically an error. This is not right. Go ahead and troll me and post memes all you want, but all I have to say is that it's not right.

Indeed, a claim has already been filed and we await a reply. Thanks for your informative and kind replies, FunkyHermitCrab. It's really appreciated.

Okay. So can anyone explain to me why he was banned from BattlEye then? Cause this makes no sense. Once again, please excuse my rudeness on previous posts. I was...not thinking as clearly.
-
No, I wasn't banned. It was a friend. I apologize if any of my previous posts sound rude. However, he was banned just recently and there is no explanation other than this GameHack violation which was performed during that time. All I'm saying is that BattlEye should have ignored it and they failed to do so.
-
I'm not appealing or anything of the sort, I'm just trying to explain that maybe this system ISN'T perfect. I'll go directly to BattlEye to sort out this issue.
-
Global bans don't happen instantly. It's flagged on battleye and then banned eventually. That message was sent multiple times, even without players in the server. I doubt that it was sent by a hacker.
-
He was still globally banned for it. Edit: I wanted to apologize if my last post sounded rude. I just didn't expect these types of responses. I'm all for banning the actual hackers, but those who didn't need a say in it.
-
BattlEye sent a message themselves saying that these bans should have been ignored. Why are people being globally banned now? Seriously, I know you guys don't have power over it, but at least admit that there might have been an error in the system and don't be douches about it. People who were banned for no reason should at least have a say in this. They bought the game and this is what they get back.

Hello everyone! I have a friend who has just started playing in the past few weeks (as I have). This morning, he was banned from his own server by BattlEye for Gamehack #38. Apparently, even though we saw a message on the RCon to disregard this ban, his account was still flagged for hacking. Obviously, I'm posting this because he doesn't use any hacks whatsoever. Should he be worried, and will his account eventually be banned overall? It isn't a fair way to do things; especially if it was simply a "glitch" in the system. I appreciate any and all replies regarding this situation and look forward to clearing this up. Thank you

I really appreciate that, I_AM_DANIEL. Glad to hear that you're liking the server. Additionally, I no longer assume that this ban will become a problem. If it does, I will contact BIS or BattlEye directly. Thanks for anyone who tried to help!
-
That's what I was thinking, but he kept worrying that his whole account might be banned from BattlEye. This is extremely unlikely to happen, correct?
-
Please, any info at all would be appreciated. For clarification, here is a screenshot of the BattlEye notice: Thank you

I've asked Ander three times now. Once before the hack, once on IRC, and once again after the hack. I wonder if he's overlooking it or if he's just not there?

Dallas 41 Shutting down and locking
kiotie replied to tsmhicks's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Just wanted to point out how it was an "Admin Kick" not a server kick. Therefore, the admin kicked and just put the reason of ping too high. -

Any ETA as to when us older customers get CP access? It would be really nice. -
!!!no entry bin\config.bin/cfgweapons!! -HELP
kiotie replied to nex1025's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
This is a normal error, and doesn't affect how your game plays. If it doesn't load, there's probably a different problem that's causing it. -
What error do you get? Are you using the freeware tool that is stickied?
-
Hm, didn't think of that. Definitely works though!
-
Sorry, but there's not much way around that then. Unless you wanna follow my instructions every time someone changes the account to play, you pretty much need two computers. -EDIT- See post below

ARMA II showing up twice under Expansions?
kiotie replied to nitrius's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
That's probably normal. Nothing to really worry about. Shows up like that on my game as well. -
The problem for Sancos was that both games were using his one CD key. By resetting the registry keys as I instructed, Steam replaced them with the correct data and should therefore allow both to play at once.
-
Glad that it worked for you! Have a great time playing DayZ!

I know it's a very large download, so I don't want to resort to redownloading it just yet. Press your windows start button and 'R' at the same time. A run dialog should pop up. In this dialog, type 'regedit' and press enter. Using the arrows on the left, navigate your way to the following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node If it doesn't exist, then you're not on a 64-bit system...tell me if so and I can give you the right location. Delete the two folders named "Bohemia Interactive" and "Bohemia Interactive Studio" Now go back to steam, right click your game and click properties. Go to the "Local Files" tab, and select "Verify Integrity of Game Cache". Do this for both ArmA II and ArmA II: OA. Edit: And make sure you're doing this all on your girlfriend's computer. Otherwise, it would make no difference.
