Thanks for the information. It would be nice to have an announcement regarding these issues, as there are a lot of servers currently suffering from this.

So it's confirmed that 1.7.2.5 isn't saving items correctly?

Stuck on those loading screens....
kiotie replied to aggressivek's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Are you guys launching the game via Six Launcher? If so, Six Launcher hasn't been updated yet, therefore it replaces your files with old ones. Try manually updating and launching the game, or download DayZ Commander. -

Higher slot count network issues
kiotie replied to DarkEnergy's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I think it's because you're on a VDS. The connection doesn't matter so much as power, and I'm thinking that your server just can't handle the increased player amount. I noticed on my dedicated machine that anything above 64 players becomes unstable, resulting in clients being stuck at "Waiting for Character to Create". Mind you, my dedicated sports a Xeon E3-1230v2 only running one DayZ server. Seems like the ArmA engine just can't handle the amount of players very well, or possibly a glitch with DayZ. -
This is great, seeing that it will be cross-platform compatible. I'll definitely be looking at this. Beans for the great work :)

There are server logs that log all activity, though they are extremely verbose. Understanding these logs is very difficult, and making a decision as to whether someone is hacking or just playing normally is usually a tough thing to decide by just looking at these logs. There is a tool floating around where you can scan the logs file though, and I've "caught" a few hackers with it, so it's reliable to my experience.

Please PM me your name or open a ticket so I can further assist you. Thanks, Kiotie

Doesn't look like any of that is available. Though probably possible... Anyways, it looks like you'll have to use bootcamp or a Windows emulation app for that.

Make sure you've updated to the most recent patch in our CP. The newest one fixes most of these problems. Kiotie
-
We just released a new update in our system that should fix this for you.
-
Please PM me your first and last name on your HFB account and I can install it for you. Thanks
-
Okay, let me know.
-
You should be able to install the last working patch via the updates section, or I can go ahead and manually update your server for you.
-
Hey ExeTick, We're having some issues with the deployment of the latest patch. Please give us some time as we investigate the issue. Thanks, Kiotie

I do apologize for the long response time. We're currently looking into why some of our servers are offline. Everyone affected will be reimbursed by billing date extension of the time that the server is down plus two days. Thanks, Kiotie

Do i need to download both Arrowhead and Arma 2?
kiotie replied to qfroG's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
You need both games in order to play DayZ (hence the requirement of Combined Operations). Take a look at this link: http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/How_to_install_DayZ -
"player name" uses modified datafile - meaning of this?
kiotie replied to S3V3N's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Yeah, nothing to be worried about. It's simply stating that the client has mods installed (most likely DayZ). -
Correction, the problem is with DayZ forcing hosters to restrict the FTP access. Additionally, all HFB users have FULL FTP access to the battleye directory.

Just rented a server. I have some questions
kiotie replied to Kunk's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
There isn't much difference between the two connection errors. The only thing that will affect tents and vehicles is to be sure to save them. Otherwise, they won't be there when the server starts up again. Of course, it's nice to give the users a bit of a warning before restarting it. Hope you enjoy your server, and don't hesitate to contact me with any further questions. Kiotie -
Just rented a server. I have some questions
kiotie replied to Kunk's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Hi Kunk, To answer your first question, you can either press the Stop or Restart button in the control panel. The server will connect to the Hive on the next startup regardless of prior client connection loss (of course the Hive must be available). Secondly, there isn't a way for us to refresh your mission. You would need to get permission from the DayZ team in order to do so. Let me know if you have any more questions. Kiotie
