I agree with this. Completely full loadouts and hundreds of vehicles really defeats the purpose of DayZ overall. The joy in DayZ is finding this gear for yourself. What some people are really looking for I think is ArmA II without DayZ mod. With that being said, there are a few great servers out there that still follow the original DayZ standards, though it's definitely more difficult to find.

Other than making sure your RCon settings are set correctly, I would ask the host to make sure that it's actually running and connecting correctly. I'm not too sure how Vilayer (I assume from the directories) does it.

Most people start it up using a .bat file included with most private hive repositories. You would just simply edit that.

Are you making sure that BEC is making the actual connection with the server? I don't see any errors with the above.

You could just add the -ip=x.x.x.x variable to your startup commandline.

Seems like the main Hive is either having issues or is down.

He did also say that they'll be integrating Steam technologies such as VAC, so it's highly doubtful that they would ever sell the game without Steam. Holding it back or not, Steam is the best way to go in my personal opinion. Much easier distribution, very convenient technologies, etc.

They have already stated in a few places that it will be on Steam :) (can't wait for the release)

Hi Ataxio, From the chart, you can see exactly what you're getting when you buy a server from HFB: http://hfbservers.com/index.php/dayz There are rows that specify whether the server connects to HFB's hive or not. Therefore, you should order the Standard server, as it is connected to neither HFB's community nor private hive. You may contact support in order to get your server transferred. Hope this helps!

Hi there Zombiegore, The use of our CP is mostly straightforward once you learn your way around it. On the main page of the CP, you will see links to either Stop, Start, or Restart your server. To install other maps on the server, you just go into the Mods section and click Install on which one you want (making sure that the server is "Stopped" before changing the map). However, this also requires a database change for the server to fully understand what it's doing, and since the user does all of the database-side changes, you must change it yourself. There is a knowledgebase article on our site that shows you how to do this, or if you have (or upgrade to) the Private Plus managed option, we can do all of this for you.
