Food and drinks impossible to find since 1.7.1.1

You dont know how much I want to virtually smack you in the face :@. Don't let my fist hit you when you turn around -
Okay I'm going to show you all a list of the good and bad things about this update. Pro's: 1. No attacking or seeing through walls! Finally I can loot an enterable house without worrying that zombie will see me and aggro the whol village. 2. Hiding! Love running through one end of a building and out the other and losing the zombies forever! 3. No weapons on spawn. People may think this is bad, but, at least it stops the spawnkilling and dm's at the coast. Con's: 1. Zombies have been upgraded, so they can see you (even when crouch walking) from around 200-300 metres away. Sometimes they see me before I see them, which is weird. 2. Double barrel is useless, it is outclassed by all other primary weapons, which can be lotted at the same % rate. Therefore I feel it is counter productive. 3. No beans on spawn. I know you want to make it more realistic, BUT, people would take food. Giving us no beans, which is the core foundation of the game :P is silly. 4. FPS for me on my £2000 gaming pc (not alienware) has either decreased or stayed the same. Therefore optimization didn't do any justice. 5. Zombies can sometimes run in buildings and beat the shit out of you, while you get stuck in a doorway. -------------- That is my experience. Here is a tip Rocket. Test the game on a personal server with other members and see if the update does what it says it does. We don't mind waiting if we get an update that actually has more pros than cons. PS: on the thing with the CZ550 spawn rate decreasing... I have only seen 1 for the whole week I have played this game. This means that I will probably see zero now :(

Derision & Scorn - Can We Make A Fresh Start?

So basically if you want to download the lastest versions and all this shit, you will need to use six laucher. I tested it out... holy hell is it the most non user friendly program I have ever used... It installs all this crap in @DayZ folder so now you have a @dayZ folders in an @DayZ folder. Then it downloads all this and initiates the game with only arma 2, when I need it to open for Arma2 AO Beta patch.exe *sigh please get rid of it* If someone does know who to use it please tell me here in this thread

Some Constructive Feedback on the new patch 1.71
Genki Dama replied to allbusiness's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
1. Need to change the LOS it is too high like many people have said. I think it should be either toned down a little or we should get a makarov with only ONE clip. This means, that although it will be getting easier again, it will still make us slow ourselves down and think one step ahead. 2. what's the point in the double barrel shotgun? I know that it adds more weapons, but it is pretty useless even compared to the Lee enfield. Yes the Lee enfield is loud, but, we can hide from seds now so, we don't really have to worry that much. 3. Players should get their beans back. I know this is going for realism and in real life, people will put food in their backpack, along with some kind of bottle for water. 4. Spawn rates too high. I know this is getting fixed so I won't say much other than that. Here is some ideas that I have thought of: 1. Add the ability to put infected blood over your character so you can travel through infected zones. A downside of this could be that, you can still aggro zombies if you crouch run up close and you can also not eat food, otherwise you WILL get sick. To remove this effect, they will have to go to a water source to clean the contents off. 2. Add flasks, were people can fill it up with water and put it near a fire to warm the water up. Once the player drinks it, they can return the fluids they have lost and also make them warmer. The spawn rate would have to be low, for example 4% or something 3. Allow the ability to drop raw meat on the ground to lure zombies within a certain radius. This would be especially good for up north, so that if someone does aggro 20 zeds, they can have the option to escape. A downside is that it only hold the zeds attention for 15 seconds. So the player will still have to move quickly. -
You are listening to the wrong people Rocket.

This meme again? Tell me again why discussing problems with a game in alpha state is faggotry. WillyWonka.jpg (Apologies to whom I stole the meme tag from) Problems? Looks to me like a bunch of care bears whinging about the game being too hard. Protip: It's not. Go on' date=' please keep showing me how a Real player of an Alpha test game acts. I mean after all, all the best games are made by people who yell and scream carebear at anyone who brings up an obvious problem with the game. Protip: If you make a post like Slapp's, you are an unproductive member of the community. [/quote'] I agree. I have been on quite a lot of forums and this has to be the worst for fantards -

There is no point attempting when you have already aggro a zed and it's following you noob and and also the gun fire attract more so again there was no point

My personal reasons are in the first post. Yeah it says the mod is no fun and it is too hard for you basically. Is that the reason? That you are too lazy to get better in the game? /facepalm... So he thinks that a bug which is effecting the playability of the game should be fixed so that it will allow a fun and enjoyable experience, while also be difficult to an extent, but you a hupty derp hardcore fantard make the assumption that he therefore is bad at the game? God you must be really please with making an ass of yourself *claps* -

WRONG. Had nothing to do with TS3. Yah' date=' unfortunately true military leadership is impossible with the amount of fucktards here. In the military theyda been kicked out or sent to levenworth. Charisma on the internet? Are you kidding? [hr'] I dont understand if you all are so into the idea and think you can do a better job this and that? Than WTF? why isnt their one yet? That's a great way to get people to join join your cause... just call them fucktards. I must say your leadership is worth nothing. First you sent them to the wrong place... Holy shit, if you were in the military you wouldn't make a stupid mistake like that. Then you post the exact time and place to meet up and expect there to be zero bandits. Please, your leadership skills are worth nothing. -
I experience some lag while in the cities like elecktro and cherno. For example all the way to the city I would get 40-60 fps, once I hit the outside of the city, bam, 21 fps. I have came up with many theories as to why you can lag. Here they are. -You may be using version 1.6.0.1, which means that zombie bodies will not disappear once they are killed. Same for human player corpses as well. -You may not have a good enough system. -You are in a large city, such as Cherno or Elecktro, both of which house lots of zombies. -You are on a 1.7 server, but you don’t have the latest Beta ArmA 2 patch. -Code for the zombies and loot is taking up too much cpu/gpu resources, which can be fixed easily. The last one is actual the more logical reason as to why you will lag. I joined a server without any zombies, the server files were not working and there was no loot either, but basically while they were away, I got a constant 60fps (had v-sync on) ----------------------------------------- HERE IS MY PC SPEC GPU= GTX 680 2GB CPU= i7 950 @ 3.4Ghz RAM= 6GB MB= X58 Sabertooth PSU= Corsair 850W I think that the devs should focus on the coding for the zombies before make unnecessary changes e.g. the bandit skin change and stuff. Don't argue that you get lag from zombies because there are soo many on the server. No that is incorrect, I have found that a server with only 97 zeds, gives me exactly the same lag as a server with 500. Therefore I bring it down to the coding of the zombies. The next patch (1.8 or whatever) should focus on updating the zombie and loot coding and make sure that they do not take unnecessary cpu/gpu resources. This is not a rant, but rather advice for players that experience lag so it may help the a little bit and for help for the devs and what I think they should work.

You know, using the forums is actually a form of metagaming. Just saying. If you were really hardcore, you'd make this band of misfits without posting on the forums about it. Edit: Just had a little read there. You're planning on putting it in the med camp next to Balota? Balota? The SW airfield? Where everyone without a brain goes after wandering through Cherno? "Friendly in Cherno?" Cherno? As to the "metagaming" question, my impression as to VictorM's intent to limit metagaming is moreso a specific limit to any kind of unrealistic, real-time communication on the ground in DayZ. If we're selling storage space, then we'll need to write down who owns what where. If we're drawing up guard details, we need to hash out time zones, availability, and inclination as well as writing it all down somewhere (google docs in the end, I would suggest). We need to know who's doing what where in order to be an effective company. All of this could be accomplished in a real world scenario with a white board in the company barracks and a few clipboards, all discussed when even "off duty" company members are present, since they will still exist on the face of the earth. The key to not using TeamSpeak is that it is a supernatural and supernaturally secure means of instantaneous communication across the width and breadth of the zombie apocalypse. The difference, then, lies in that TeamSpeak provides a real-time, unrealistic benefit while forum threads and excel spreadsheets are simply organizational aids. That's my read of the situation, at least. ^ | | | THIS! Thank you dude. Someone a little more articulate than me gets it. ;) You know, using the forums is actually a form of metagaming. Just saying.
