Thinking about downloading and trying this MOD again not that you can download it through Steam. Does anyone know if you installed the MOD through Steam will it be the latest and if not will it update to the latest version?

I uninstalled Arma II and DayZ. I am going to take a break until the game and mod because more stable. For me personally it's more frustrating trying to play the game then enjoying it.

I don't understand that with Rocket working on this game by himself, we got updates once a week or more. Now back from E3 and has some from at least two more people that we know of and the updates are slower then ever. Now after 1.60 comes out, the game totally fucking breaks and has people have mentioned the FPS sucks ass. I wish that some people would roll out some 1.60 servers. Ether that or Rocket you really need to fix the fucking performance. I don't get it, this should be your main priority. The game should be playable at least, otherwise people will leave fast. Seen it happen before in indie games!

I can run Battlefield 3 on high setting and get a constant 25-20 FPS. I can run Tribes Ascend at 30+ on max settings. It appears that the FPS keeps going down with every update. That's when you can finally connect. I wish there was standards for the servers or one central login server. My average ping is 25-35 with no d-sync. I am not expecting super performance but I do expect the game to be playable at least. Even with the settings on low and latest Nvidia drivers don't help. I am also picking a server under a 50 ping and that makes no difference. I am just going to try it when a new update comes out until or if a playable version comes out. This really sucks because again when 1.60 was out there were not these issues. I wish that rocket would have focused more of the performance then trying to change the game to start with no weapons, other bullshit, etc. It seems like that was his focus. The game needs to be made fucking playable and bugs fixed before the game starts to go through drastic changes.

I am at the latest Arma II beta patches, latest Nvidia drivers and the performance on his mod is shit. I am talking about puking unplayable fucking shit! I never had this issues wiht the 1.6 update and now with 1.71 it is fucking unplayable. I have 30-40 FPS when the game laods at the server screen. However, once I load into the server it's self then it crawls below 10 now. I am picking a server with a lower ping then 50 and close to my area. In the game my ping is around 26-35 at most. I am getting zero dsync. I know it's an alpha but come fucking on, the game should be at least playable. Not only that it's hanging at the loading screen for the servers. I wish we could just roll back to 1.6 update, at least the game worked properly. I might try it again later but already wasted an hour with this bull shit!

I was playing it but now even on a server with low ping and setting on low I am getting lag lock big time. Instead of getting frustrated with the game, I am taking a break until the next mod update comes out.

The thing two main things that are ruining the game for me as follows. 1.) The performance has gone to shit. Specifically not just the low FPS but the lag and freezing from the servers. My is is around 20-30 and 0 for D-sync. I think this game would have been better with out the main database server. I think this is causing the main performance issues. When the game is unplayable or you die from a zombie or player not fun. 2.) The second issue is the zombies are bugged by going through walls, have no line of sight and appear to be telepathic. I know these issues have been talked to death but there hasn't been an update for a while now. Yes, it's an alpha but if the new update that addresses these issues don't come out soon, this game will start to lose interest fast. Updates for this mod were coming out every few days to a week, now we haven''t gotten anything. I am going to take a break from the game until the next update. Please don't say the MOD is free. We all know the only reason 90% got this game was for this MOD and not for ARMA II.

You are the gamer that I hate the most! People who take any fucking game way to fucking seriously! Sounds like me that it would have been fun joining your group of friends. You sound like the only one who would be sucking the joy out of playing the game with your friends. Just have fun and stop treating this game as what you would do in real life. Here is my take on this. Yes, it's good have proof. However, when you are playing a game not everyone has FRAPS running etc. Let's say I do believe the poster and I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt. Like all PVP games people get your butt hurt and pissy when they lose. It is too much of a conquincidence that the server restarted at the exact same time they got the loot. I have played other hosted games where admin get's easily butt hurt and bans you etc. People easily abuse the power given to them. I hate the fact that this game doesn't have an official Arma server that everyone logs into. Hopefully that will come in the future with the stand alone game. Really the guy has nothing to lose by posting it and highly doubtful they would just make up a story. Most admin's of servers are assholes on a power trip. Let's get over this and move on!

I think that they understand that less is more. If they sold the game for 20 bucks, they would sell a crap load of copies and I believe that is a fair price.

I feel your pain as on servers with a good ping like under 50, I am lucking to get over 15 FPS it seems. Sometimes I do get lucky and get 20-30 FPS. Some times you just need to try different servers or take a break from the game.

The only problem is that admin's who own the server will get butt hurt if you kill them and then ban you.

I was not aware that, thanks for the explanation. Maybe just start being able to use the butt of your bun for melee attacks. I think melee is able to be put into the game just limit the ammo to, two clips to test it out. If the server is a hardcore server, why not make it so you start with no weapon. Vet difficulty, you start with two clips and so on?

NO If you could start with a melee weapon then sure! Otherwise you should still start with a gun but limit it to, two ammo clips.
