E3 Expo - June 2013 - Interviews and Gameplay
godtoldme2killu replied to SmashT's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
So what if the zombies are not perfect? What zombie mod do you know needs to be 100% perfect in all gameplay methods? The zombies will be only a third of the scenario given there are other survivors to meet and supplies to scavenge or trade with them. Path finding for the zombies would be nicer, but given the limits this game has, only so much could be done before the red carpet is rolled up for good and the game is finished. The new enterable buildings and customized map catches my attention each time an update video is posted. I really hope there are clothes to cover my character's face. Or maybe hijacking a BMP will help me cover a plaza as my team scavenges the buildings for supplies. An artic map, desert map or jungle map would be nice. That brings me to a list of questions: Question 1. Is there tanks? Question 2. Is there rockets/RPGs/missiles? Question 3. Is there Claymores? Question 4. Is there a rappel option available from helicopters? Question 5. Is there Satchel Charges and able to attach to vehicles? Question 6. Is there working repair garages? Question 7. Is there ski masks/balaclava? Question 8. Is there tear gas? Question 9. Is there tranquilizer guns/tazer guns? Question 10. Is there camelback hydration systems? Thank you for reading my reply and I appreciate the upload. Please feel free to give me feedback on these questions or concerns. -
Blood bags are great! I refuse to believe that someone can blood bag themselves without ripping the top off and chugging down the foreign substance for health (blood) because an IV (intravenious) kit requires an injection with a needle and someone or something holding the bag up. Blood regeneration takes time and requires a healthy diet to obtain, in time. I do agree only so much food should be eaten at a given time limit, but blood bags should require two people and not only for the random player encounter scenario each of us so desprately need (especially the unknown lone wolf). I would like to suggest a time the blood bag must have to feed the player's body to heal.

I just had a baller idea for SA regarding Banditry
godtoldme2killu replied to pbrunk's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I see where the character can be a mechanic and rob. A wise choice was made by the robber, if items were a necessity and with a time limit. Imagine a medic having no morphine and stuck in a forested area with robbers already there. Mechanics have space in their inventory because parts are needed in the inventory to fix vehicles. In code, and maybe some tweaks in ArmA II's engine, we could have less mechanic parts for more inventory space, making the robbers job a tiring escapade. According to the, YES, Mr. You, the robber mechanic, can have the luxury of: 1. robbing and detaining, leaving them crouched and cornered and untouched 2. robbing and detaining, leaving them crouched and cornered and wounding with melee weapon in legs 3. robbing and detaining, giving or receiving information to the victim or from the robber with their body movement and clothes, thus, giving off some impression on where they are going, coming from or which direction could be an advantage to counter attack or track them down and give them supplies they desperately needed to end their bandit story as a brainwashed survivor to the data already received by the victim while leaving them crouched and cornered in a house or outside and cornered, item less and untouched. Dropping items before or after a robbery could become a concern to the gamer especially with items that can detain a person physically. Imagine crafting an item that could shut your mouth up while I take your items, or items of discovery. That tin can could be a snipers way of marking 300 meters! Detain someone right there?! Body count! I believe the murders and mugging will ruin my game before it ruins everyone else's. Pass those gun laws! We need a secure gate, mechanic! EDIT: KOS for nothing means less bullets for that bandit. Until someone becomes one to get one out. Rob those medic mechanics like no tomorrowz! -
USA - Who speaks banner? Kill ads, just say it.

Advertisements make great conversations in-game. What are your ideas for a banner, if made for a map, forums or SOS guide? -
Ooooo Oooooooh, so the weapons and equipment that DayZ has right now is not satisfying you, is it? This is the list of weapons I will need to put these infected, undead, half-walking/running, vomiting, miturating, contagious zombies to death: .357 Magnum 9x19mm MP5K-PDW (I wish they would add this) .50 BMG Barrett XM500 I hope there is more military stuff in this game than the movie STRIPES. I prefer camoflauge to civilian clothing and I prefer an armed Huey to a Bell chopper. I am positive the vehicles would need as much camo as possible as I use them to set traps in the forests for unwanted tresspassers. I would play this game much more if all the people (plus gamer Nazis) at the XtremeGaming Cafe on Babcock in San Antonio weren't so annoying, asking me questions about how the supermodels coming out next year are somehow connected to a "conspiracy theory" involving video games and suicide. Too much marijuana and violent video games, if you ask me. Another reason for some to hide in camoflauge. Especially the pretty ones. Now lets scavenge what equipment we can and pray this game does not become a reality. Who likes dealing with the Center of Disease Control and Prevention anyways? Scientists can be, somewhat................................................... .................................................................................... Controlling.

Give a reason to play on night servers?
godtoldme2killu replied to 97ADU Doug's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Playing DayZ in the night time gives you the element of surprise. Some servers (these private servers will soon disappear) begin the character's with NVG and/or flashlights. Night time increases the difficulty and should be used as an advantage against other players. Now to hide my campfire from bandit helicopter raid parties... -
I'll stick to surrounding my victims with firewood and lighting those bitches on fire!

My suggestion is simple: Add new vehicles that civilians would use according to Chernarus. I would love to ride in a civilian Bell helicopter or a single engine Cessna plane. We should not be limited to only military vehicles. There are plenty of civilian vehicles in the game, but why not add more to add some quicker getaway's? Chernarus seems like a socialist state with a controlled vehicle economy, but if we could add Skoda race cars or a BMW M5, things like vehicles could become more of a luxury. I would suggest a mountain bike, but I believe that has already been suggested. Please give me some feedback before this game goes Alpha!

Weekend at Bernies ARMA III! AAAAAAHH, MAD SURFING SKILLS N' PUB STEAKS IN THE SUNSET! I will not be playing probably until October. -
How about a Kamelbak water system backpack? Those come in civilian and military versions. What would be the difference other than durability of the type of backpacks you implemented that we use? There is no need for a crafting system. Not all characters could know how to install an engine, so why add another system or systems of fixing when damaging items with gunfire has only been implemented for nvg's? Shooting holes in backpacks and making me spill the beans does not seem like a good suggestion. Can we fix our shoes with this crafting system? If so, someone is going to win big on a tapestries warehouse.

NPCS in Practice - Stealthgaming Australia
godtoldme2killu replied to Calanen's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I do not support this suggestion. Keep it zombies, please. They have no minds of their own. -
For each time I read about a "crafting system", it makes me want to write a screenplay about ancient egypt involving sheeps and herdsmen, drinking from a ladle, the cleanest water, boiled to perfection. As the audience shfits into emotion of late, sorrow and remorse, I pray that not one more of these suggestions request that a game of survival require a thread and needle TO KEEP THE CLOTHES ON THOSE DEAD, NAKED, ZOMBIES!!! Keep it scripted, the system we already have. Thank you.

The reason I play DayZ is to experience a savage life running from monstrous zombies and to meet random survivors who must fight for every possible encounter available in the dangerous, quarantined lands of Chernarus. I do not expect the same type of scenario, as I imagine the chances of survival to change randomly as the game continues. Since the first time I played DayZ, some things have bothered me during gameplay; blackholed items, zombies going through objects/structures, hackers, combat logging, and other combat related bugs. I am positive the DayZ development team is doing their job to meet the requirements for a better survivor experience. Paying money to buy this game: I can only comment the fact that all projects should be tested and reviewed after it becomes available for retail at your local store or digital download copy. Another note: I can tell you all what I DO want in this game, but, I would rather meet the exchange in-game.
