Also I just checked and I cannot place one into your backpack, only main inventory. We will work out a time to do this later. Rest assured I will replace the lost items. The server did not save your character when you got disconnected, that's why they vanished. -Drunkpunk

I might can do it with you logged out. If you will at least make room for 1 gun when you log off I will put that in there tonight. -Drunkpunk

Also, I cannot place the guns in a tent, my admin tools don't allow that. I can only edit player inventories. If you'd like I can replace the guns tonight. Ill need you to login around 10:00 pm CST and I will place them and restart the server. -Drunkpunk

Server is top of the line. I apologize for the connection issues, my host is still experiencing DDoS attacks on all US servers. I can do 5 hour restarts, I did 3 hours because that keeps all the heli crash spawns fresh. There is a maximum of 3 heli crashes per reset (they only re spawn on server restart) and 3 hours is the maximum time needed for all 3 to spawn. If I do 5 hours there will be fewer fresh heli crashes. As for the fog I think there is a setting I can edit to adjust that. I will look into it. -Drunkpunk

Mailbox Vandal has been unbanned. It detected a teleport, could have been lag or a skin change. Either way he's good to go. Sorry for the trouble the anti-hack is still in testing. -Drunkpunk

Will check it today when I get home. It might have been a false positive from my Gotcha Anti-hack. I will remove it ASAP. About the M104... What was the # on the kick reason? M104 should be legal. If I can find where it kicked you I will replace the M104 + ammo. This will require you to log off with room in your inventory to hold both guns + ammo. Also if you could provide me with the day and a rough estimate of the time of day it will make it easier to track down. On the bright side I got an email from ASUS saying my motherboard is being shipped back! Hopefully the problem is fixed and I will be back on in a few days. -Drunkpunk

Update. Just heard back from my hosting company. They are in the process of mitigating a series of DDoS attacks on all US based servers. Unfortunately hackers and script kiddies enjoy messing with the DayZ community. They are on top of it so you can expect server stability to be restored soon. -Drunkpunk

Give me more info. Crashing how? Loss of connection and then it reboots? How long is it down for? Does it save before it goes down? It's hosted by a remote company, I will send them an email and ask if there is an issue. Also I noticed some worry last night about the Machette item. That item is in the game and is legit. It was added with last patch. -Drunkpunk

Joe, what led you to beleive there was a hacker present? You are vouching for Morgan Freeman?! I've had him banned in the past for suspected hacking. If you can give me more info I will review the logs and make bans accordingly.

New update isn't available to the public yet. Still being tweaked in testing. My host will update the server as soon as its available! Had a blast yesterday. Crashed two heli's, had a shoot out while trying to refuel the second heli right before we crashed it. One guy took me out, other guy got sniped by my teammate making a mad dash to flank me. Then the guy that killed me headed for the hills, knowing I had a sniper watching my corpse and the chopper! So much fun. -Drunkpunk

For now I am just using and checking this topic daily. You can also contact me with the email listed on the servers MOTD. I do have plans for a website, however I would like to see the server with a higher population. We have 15-20 players online at peak hours but the off peak hours its like 5-10. So if you can help draw some players in ill take the time to setup a forum. Keep using this thread for now and I will keep watching it. Looking into the scripter right now. I was also made aware of a bug with the Hero skin where it teleports you to the shore/ocean on login. I have found out how to fix it, and am working to impliment the fix ASAP. Please bear with me as my main PC is down at the moment, had to send the motherboard in for repair. Should be back up to full power in a week or so, will try to have the fixes in place before then. Tell your friends! We need more players still!! -Drunkpunk

Perhaps in the future I will go this route. I hate to limit the players that can connect, or force new players to have to goto a website register and then wait for access to play. This will just kill the number of new players that join the server, and we don't have a large enough player base to not accept new players still. Hackers are a real pain in the ass. I work 50 hours a week, and then go home to do car repair or PC repair for some extra side cash, so I don't have a ton of free time to approve whitelist requests if I had it setup that way. Best thing for now is try to report any issues here for me, player names of suspected hackers are VERY appreciated, and I will review the logs and make bans accordingly. On a side note, don't hesitate to contact me on this forum or via my e-mail listed on the server MOTD. I will personally investigate any loss of items due to hackers and replace what was lost. We have also encountered the refueling bug on a few of our cars. Mainly the Military Offroad Jeeps. It seems as if they still get full with gas because I can run one empty and then put a can in it and start it back up. Keep in mind some of these cars can take ALOT of gas. I think the Military Jeeps take 50 jerry cans to fill it all the way from empty? The repairing I am not sure about. I have not encountered that on any of our cars or trucks yet. That being said, we did have all 3 of our cars vanish over the last 48 hours. The strange thing is the server still lists them as valid vehicles. So I will be doing a repair/refuel to ALL vehicles tonight to attempt to fix all of these issues. Let me know if it works for you. -Drunkpunk

Wish I had some to offer. We have yet to find any elite weapons, GPS, rangefinder, or NVG. Sounds like your better geared then we are! My buddies found the first working helicopter yesterday! Sad thing is they went to meet up and by the time they got back the chopper was no where to be found. They aren't real sure where it was so either there is a chopper hiding somewhere or someone found it and hid it. Either way I know what I'll be doing for the next few days, chopper hunting!

I don't think so. I have found the fire they emit in the rain before. Now do keep in mind that this is a vanilla server. There are I beleive a MAX of 3 heli crashes per server reset. These crashes have the best weapons and equipment available so they are not real common. I have the server set for 3 hour restarts and it has a chance to spawn a new heli crash every 15-45 min. There are maps on google of suspected crash sites but in reality they do not have set spawn points. They will appear more in the large open fields. The area around the NW airfield and Stary Sobor are good places to search. We have only found 3 crashes in like 3 weeks and I normally have 2-3 people, in cars, searching. So they are there, just hard to find.
